  • Excellent Accommodations and Wicked Dog Friendly

"Thank you so much for this opportunity to enjoy the Teton Valley for a long weekend. The A-Frame cabin was perfect for the two of us and our two dogs. While we relaxed and explored the area over the weekend, the dogs loved the fenced in grassy yard and dog run. Location wise, the A-Frame was excellent: .5 mile from a brewery, close access to Jackson, Jackson Hole, Grand Targhee. We had a great time, thank you again."

  • Perfect Girl's Weekend Getaway

"My sister-in-laws and I wanted to get away for a girl's weekend and I knew just the place. I stayed in this condo with my husband and 2 kids last summer for a week and it was a trip that we still talk about. This cottage is so comfortable and feels like home. The beds are nice, the furniture cozy the kitchen is well stocked. It's perfectly located. The trails great for hiking and biking are behind the house and the lodge with the pool and restaurant are a 2 minute walk. The trails lead to a bike park and disc golf course that our kids loved. The owners have stocked it with videos and games to enjoy at night. There is a hot tub and nice working grill on the patio to enjoy any time of day. This was my second time to stay here but it will not be my last. I've been here for summer and fall and hopefully will be returning some time in the winter also. I made a mistake when booking the house and the owners were readily available and helped me numerous times. I can't say enough good things about this place or it's owners. Many great memories come from here. I highly recommend this place."

  • Exactly what was needed!

"Great condo, great owners. My wife and I really needed a nice weekend away and this place fit the bill. Nicely furnished, clean, comfortable bed, and at the end of the day, we loved hitting the hottub. We enjoyed walking in to town for dinner/drinks as needed, as well as biking around town/along the nearby trails and even fishing the Big Wood and (after a short drive) Silver Creek. We were even impressed by having some of the little things we didn't initially think about (like coffee and butter.)"

Idaho Travel Tips

Season to Visit Idaho Vacation Rentals

Idaho’s climate varies in accordance with its terrain and is therefore quite different in different parts of the state. The southern low lying regions enjoy warm summers with hot days and balmy nights. Most rainfall occurs during the summer season in this area and rain showers are generally quite short-lived. For many of the lake areas in the south, summer is the preferred time of year to book one of our Idaho rentals. The warm days allow the kids to enjoy playing in the lake waters and enjoying a wide variety of water sport activities. The mountain areas, full of great Idaho cabin rentals, are much cooler and receive heavy snowfall between December and March each year. This provides ideal snow skiing conditions for the many ski resorts.

Activities at Idaho Cabin Rentals

Idaho is home to many scenic lakes. Within easy driving distance, there are at least six lakes which are all great vacation destinations. Facilities vary depending on the recreational classifications of the lakes but all offer great fishing opportunities. Most allow recreational boating including power boating and are ideal destinations for waterskiing, wake boarding and leisurely sunset cruises. Many cabins for rent in Idaho are located on the lakeshore, providing easy access to the water. Many have private docks where you can tie your boat up for the duration of your stay. For families, you can enjoy long summer days enjoying a wide variety of water sports. In the afternoon, you can go into town to buy ice cream and get some bait for an early morning fishing excursion the next day. The lakes are great for paddling and many marinas have kayaks available to hire. In the winter months, one of the most popular activities is snowmobiling. There are also many groomed trails for cross country skiing. In the mountain areas, there are a number of high-class ski resorts, particularly in the area of Sun Valley, where you can easily find great ski cabin rentals in Idaho.

Visitors to Idaho Vacation Rentals

Idaho is probably one of the lesser known vacation destinations. Most people think of it as the potato state and are unaware of the beautiful mountain ranges and lakes that make it an ideal vacation destination. It is a relatively affordable destination where vacation rentals in Idaho are large and spacious. This makes it an ideal destination for a family vacation. People who will enjoy Idaho are those who appreciate nature, beautiful scenery and the outdoors. There are many activities available in both summer and winter. It is a destination where you can relax, take a break from busy city life, and enjoy some quality time with your friends and family. The many lakes attract fishing enthusiasts from both near and far. Many of the communities hold annual fishing fests which are great events to attend.

Traveling to Idaho

The main access point to Idaho is in the Capital City of Boise which is located in the far southwestern corner of the state. To get to the northern parts of Idaho, the closest airport is Spokane International Airport which is located in the neighboring state of Washington. Both these airports host regularly scheduled flights from most major cities in North America. There is quite an extensive and well-maintained road network in Idaho and the best way to get to your vacation destination is usually by car. Rental agencies are located at the airports and it is advisable to make reservations in advance, especially over weekends and peak holiday periods. There are two transcontinental railroads that pass through Idaho. If you want to be able to enjoy the scenery, this is a great way to travel. Check up on the routing to see if the trains stop near your vacation destination.
