  • Old Charm, Modern Features

"We have stayed at many rental houses over the years, and I would put this one in the top tier. The house itself looks older, but it has been completely updated. It has the older home charm, but it feels like a new home. It is an easy walk to the lake and close to everything."

  • McRory9 Family Reunion

"A family reunion to remember thanks to the beauty of Cider Mountain and the family that runs this site. This is an amazing place where every detail is attended to. The main house, the cabins, as well as the grounds are immaculate. There was everything we needed in the professional kitchen. There was something for every age and everyone took advantage playing the arcade games, disc golf, ping pong, basketball, shooting pool or just relaxing on the patio or screened in porch. The pictures of this site do not begin to show how great it really is. Corrie and Chris were always helpful, responding quickly to our every question and concern. Not sure how to express our gratitude other than by just saying THANKS for helping make our reunion such a success. A SPECIAL SHOUT OUT goes to their daughter who came through when our photographer cancelled at the last minute. Every family asked me to say a SPECIAL THANKS for the wonderful portraits of their individual family groups. Thanks Tessa for stepping in and doing such a professional job. We loved the instant gratification of being able to take our photo files home with us."

  • Charming

"We walked in and fell in love with this charming home. It's so central and within walking distance to everything we needed. We would go down to the lake, then out for a nice dinner and come home to have a nice quiet fire with a glass of wine to end the night. There's so much to do in Coeur d'Alene! We would recommend Angelo's and The Cellar for dinner. If you have younger kids, Tito's is great as they get to make their own pizza's. Hayley was a pleasure to deal with, and we will certainly recommend this home to others."

  • Perfect Christmas Getaway

"Christmas was given a new meaning after spending it here..We have vacationed at Priest Lake before but it seriously paled in comparison to our experience at this beautiful Cabin. It was immaculately clean and ready for visitors. Everything we needed for cooking each meal..(the double ovens were a super time saver!) Wood was stacked high in the Garage ready for us to start a fire. The views from every part of this property were amazing. We had a full week of activities planned and hated even leaving the cabin to do them. There was so much room we never had to look for a place to go. Three fireplaces (two inside and one out) made for a cozy warm comfy atmosphere. A guy even showed up to clear snow from the driveway during our visit.. I only wish that we could give a higher than excellent rating. I took many beautiful pictures of this place! Amazing seems an understatement."

Idaho Travel Tips

Season to Visit Idaho Vacation Rentals

Idaho’s climate varies in accordance with its terrain and is therefore quite different in different parts of the state. The southern low lying regions enjoy warm summers with hot days and balmy nights. Most rainfall occurs during the summer season in this area and rain showers are generally quite short-lived. For many of the lake areas in the south, summer is the preferred time of year to book one of our Idaho rentals. The warm days allow the kids to enjoy playing in the lake waters and enjoying a wide variety of water sport activities. The mountain areas, full of great Idaho cabin rentals, are much cooler and receive heavy snowfall between December and March each year. This provides ideal snow skiing conditions for the many ski resorts.

Activities at Idaho Cabin Rentals

Idaho is home to many scenic lakes. Within easy driving distance, there are at least six lakes which are all great vacation destinations. Facilities vary depending on the recreational classifications of the lakes but all offer great fishing opportunities. Most allow recreational boating including power boating and are ideal destinations for waterskiing, wake boarding and leisurely sunset cruises. Many cabins for rent in Idaho are located on the lakeshore, providing easy access to the water. Many have private docks where you can tie your boat up for the duration of your stay. For families, you can enjoy long summer days enjoying a wide variety of water sports. In the afternoon, you can go into town to buy ice cream and get some bait for an early morning fishing excursion the next day. The lakes are great for paddling and many marinas have kayaks available to hire. In the winter months, one of the most popular activities is snowmobiling. There are also many groomed trails for cross country skiing. In the mountain areas, there are a number of high-class ski resorts, particularly in the area of Sun Valley, where you can easily find great ski cabin rentals in Idaho.

Visitors to Idaho Vacation Rentals

Idaho is probably one of the lesser known vacation destinations. Most people think of it as the potato state and are unaware of the beautiful mountain ranges and lakes that make it an ideal vacation destination. It is a relatively affordable destination where vacation rentals in Idaho are large and spacious. This makes it an ideal destination for a family vacation. People who will enjoy Idaho are those who appreciate nature, beautiful scenery and the outdoors. There are many activities available in both summer and winter. It is a destination where you can relax, take a break from busy city life, and enjoy some quality time with your friends and family. The many lakes attract fishing enthusiasts from both near and far. Many of the communities hold annual fishing fests which are great events to attend.

Traveling to Idaho

The main access point to Idaho is in the Capital City of Boise which is located in the far southwestern corner of the state. To get to the northern parts of Idaho, the closest airport is Spokane International Airport which is located in the neighboring state of Washington. Both these airports host regularly scheduled flights from most major cities in North America. There is quite an extensive and well-maintained road network in Idaho and the best way to get to your vacation destination is usually by car. Rental agencies are located at the airports and it is advisable to make reservations in advance, especially over weekends and peak holiday periods. There are two transcontinental railroads that pass through Idaho. If you want to be able to enjoy the scenery, this is a great way to travel. Check up on the routing to see if the trains stop near your vacation destination.
