  • Waterfront view! Perfect!

"We couldn't have been happier with this cabin on the lake. The owner, Lori, was easy to work with and communicated well with each step along the way. Upon arrival, we found a very clean space with 2 bedrooms on the main floor and a beautiful view of the lake from the large living room windows. The cabin had everything we needed in the kitchen, large grill on the deck, table/chairs on the deck for cards and meals, and a lakeside fire pit that we used each night. We loved having access to a canoe and kayak as well as clear/clean lake water from the dock. We hope to stay here again and would recommend this property to anyone."

"Very well decorated and it was well stocked with any item you may need for cooking. It was such a comfortable Condo. We would go back anytime and recommend it for our family and friends to use. The balcony was so relaxing and the ability to be close to resturants as well as other shops and cinema is a real plus. It was great to have 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms for us and our family in a split bedroom plan. Thank you Ed and Joanne for letting us use your property!"

  • Wonderful

"This place was perfect for our family of four - we were very comfortable here and enjoyed being within walking distance of an organic market, the lake and downtown. It was clean, expectations were clear, beds were comfortable, bathrooms were great (good water pressure & we never ran out of hot water), kitchen was fantastic (although we couldn't find a pizza pan or cutter), laundry machines were a huge convenience (high quality, large capacity, quiet ones) and the price was right. The only advantage a hotel would have over this place is air conditioning and black out shades, but I still think we made the right choice staying here and highly recommend it."

  • Holiday Escape!

"When we arrived at Corner Cottage, Whit & Lisa already had the lights and heater on to welcome us to our temporary holiday home. The cottage was spacious, yet with a cozy feeling. It was a bit of vintage, yet modernized. We loved our stay at Corner Cottage which is very nicely located with an easy walk to the downtown district. Whit & Lisa were a pleasure to work with and we appreciated being trusted with 4 small children and our dog! We would definitely stay there again, IF we don't end up moving into the beautiful area ourselves!"

Idaho Travel Tips

Season to Visit Idaho Vacation Rentals

Idaho’s climate varies in accordance with its terrain and is therefore quite different in different parts of the state. The southern low lying regions enjoy warm summers with hot days and balmy nights. Most rainfall occurs during the summer season in this area and rain showers are generally quite short-lived. For many of the lake areas in the south, summer is the preferred time of year to book one of our Idaho rentals. The warm days allow the kids to enjoy playing in the lake waters and enjoying a wide variety of water sport activities. The mountain areas, full of great Idaho cabin rentals, are much cooler and receive heavy snowfall between December and March each year. This provides ideal snow skiing conditions for the many ski resorts.

Activities at Idaho Cabin Rentals

Idaho is home to many scenic lakes. Within easy driving distance, there are at least six lakes which are all great vacation destinations. Facilities vary depending on the recreational classifications of the lakes but all offer great fishing opportunities. Most allow recreational boating including power boating and are ideal destinations for waterskiing, wake boarding and leisurely sunset cruises. Many cabins for rent in Idaho are located on the lakeshore, providing easy access to the water. Many have private docks where you can tie your boat up for the duration of your stay. For families, you can enjoy long summer days enjoying a wide variety of water sports. In the afternoon, you can go into town to buy ice cream and get some bait for an early morning fishing excursion the next day. The lakes are great for paddling and many marinas have kayaks available to hire. In the winter months, one of the most popular activities is snowmobiling. There are also many groomed trails for cross country skiing. In the mountain areas, there are a number of high-class ski resorts, particularly in the area of Sun Valley, where you can easily find great ski cabin rentals in Idaho.

Visitors to Idaho Vacation Rentals

Idaho is probably one of the lesser known vacation destinations. Most people think of it as the potato state and are unaware of the beautiful mountain ranges and lakes that make it an ideal vacation destination. It is a relatively affordable destination where vacation rentals in Idaho are large and spacious. This makes it an ideal destination for a family vacation. People who will enjoy Idaho are those who appreciate nature, beautiful scenery and the outdoors. There are many activities available in both summer and winter. It is a destination where you can relax, take a break from busy city life, and enjoy some quality time with your friends and family. The many lakes attract fishing enthusiasts from both near and far. Many of the communities hold annual fishing fests which are great events to attend.

Traveling to Idaho

The main access point to Idaho is in the Capital City of Boise which is located in the far southwestern corner of the state. To get to the northern parts of Idaho, the closest airport is Spokane International Airport which is located in the neighboring state of Washington. Both these airports host regularly scheduled flights from most major cities in North America. There is quite an extensive and well-maintained road network in Idaho and the best way to get to your vacation destination is usually by car. Rental agencies are located at the airports and it is advisable to make reservations in advance, especially over weekends and peak holiday periods. There are two transcontinental railroads that pass through Idaho. If you want to be able to enjoy the scenery, this is a great way to travel. Check up on the routing to see if the trains stop near your vacation destination.
