  • Beautiful Sandpoint

"Thank you! Our family had a wonderful time in Sandpoint! The home was very clean, fully stocked and perfectly decorated. There is plenty of space; bedrooms and bathrooms are large and fully stocked with towels and other necessities. The kitchen had plenty cutlery, dishes and small appliances. The layout of the home was really nice for small kids - nowhere to get into any real trouble. Also, there was a gate at the top of the stairs on the deck, safe for the kids. We enjoyed the lake very much, fished everyday. The owners were very responsive and easy to deal with. Overall, a wonderful experience, great location, beautiful scenery and very comfortable house."

  • Weekend in Idaho

"The property was absolutely as beautiful as all of the photos! It was a wonderful location to spend the weekend and have plenty of activities to do in the area. I stayed with my parents and adult son who just started a new job in Idaho so it was a perfect place to have plenty of room yet be together. We could not have asked for a better weekend! A couple of suggestions for the owner that might make someone's stay even better would be to display the house number near the road. We arrived after dark and had a very difficult time finding the house. We had to get out of our car and walk up to the houses to find the house numbers. Also, the owner provided bath towels, but not hand towels or washcloths. We purchased some and left them there, so hopefully that won't be a problem for the next visitors. We did all of our cooking in the cabin and the kitchen was very well stocked; however the microwave would only cook for three minutes and then shut off. We would have to wait about a half hour before it would start again. For preparing meals this made the microwave useless. I don't want these suggestions to deter anyone from considering this property for their stay in McCall; we would rent this property again without any hesitation!!"

  • Outstanding executive home, great location.

"Weekend ladies trip of five exceeded expectations at this executive style home in a great location in McCall. It's a pleasant 1.5 mile walk/bike ride from the middle of downtown and lake. It presents even better and larger in person than the pictures show. The furniture is very large and comfortable, and the home is immacculate. This home was live in ready and fully stocked with the basics, we never ran out of anything (towels, paper towels, tissues, even shampoo/conditioner is provided). Everything worked, no issues whatsoever. The hot tub was a delight! Honestly it's hard to believe this is even a rental at all, as the home is in such new condition and clean. Plenty of space for all of us, we never felt like we were in each others way. Lots of attention to detail all the way down to the high end dishes/utensils. I've owned a vacation rental before and I can tell this establishment is ran very professionally."

  • Could Not Ask For More

"This house was perfect for our group which included my wife, two 20ish daughters, one fiancé, and one uncle. I can live like a caveman, but the real testimony was how much my wife loved it. It really fit our needs and Bob has done a great job furnishing it. There is a great view of the mountain and the free bus to the Warm Springs lift is very convenient from the house. Bob is great to deal with and we would certainly stay there again."

Idaho Travel Tips

Season to Visit Idaho Vacation Rentals

Idaho’s climate varies in accordance with its terrain and is therefore quite different in different parts of the state. The southern low lying regions enjoy warm summers with hot days and balmy nights. Most rainfall occurs during the summer season in this area and rain showers are generally quite short-lived. For many of the lake areas in the south, summer is the preferred time of year to book one of our Idaho rentals. The warm days allow the kids to enjoy playing in the lake waters and enjoying a wide variety of water sport activities. The mountain areas, full of great Idaho cabin rentals, are much cooler and receive heavy snowfall between December and March each year. This provides ideal snow skiing conditions for the many ski resorts.

Activities at Idaho Cabin Rentals

Idaho is home to many scenic lakes. Within easy driving distance, there are at least six lakes which are all great vacation destinations. Facilities vary depending on the recreational classifications of the lakes but all offer great fishing opportunities. Most allow recreational boating including power boating and are ideal destinations for waterskiing, wake boarding and leisurely sunset cruises. Many cabins for rent in Idaho are located on the lakeshore, providing easy access to the water. Many have private docks where you can tie your boat up for the duration of your stay. For families, you can enjoy long summer days enjoying a wide variety of water sports. In the afternoon, you can go into town to buy ice cream and get some bait for an early morning fishing excursion the next day. The lakes are great for paddling and many marinas have kayaks available to hire. In the winter months, one of the most popular activities is snowmobiling. There are also many groomed trails for cross country skiing. In the mountain areas, there are a number of high-class ski resorts, particularly in the area of Sun Valley, where you can easily find great ski cabin rentals in Idaho.

Visitors to Idaho Vacation Rentals

Idaho is probably one of the lesser known vacation destinations. Most people think of it as the potato state and are unaware of the beautiful mountain ranges and lakes that make it an ideal vacation destination. It is a relatively affordable destination where vacation rentals in Idaho are large and spacious. This makes it an ideal destination for a family vacation. People who will enjoy Idaho are those who appreciate nature, beautiful scenery and the outdoors. There are many activities available in both summer and winter. It is a destination where you can relax, take a break from busy city life, and enjoy some quality time with your friends and family. The many lakes attract fishing enthusiasts from both near and far. Many of the communities hold annual fishing fests which are great events to attend.

Traveling to Idaho

The main access point to Idaho is in the Capital City of Boise which is located in the far southwestern corner of the state. To get to the northern parts of Idaho, the closest airport is Spokane International Airport which is located in the neighboring state of Washington. Both these airports host regularly scheduled flights from most major cities in North America. There is quite an extensive and well-maintained road network in Idaho and the best way to get to your vacation destination is usually by car. Rental agencies are located at the airports and it is advisable to make reservations in advance, especially over weekends and peak holiday periods. There are two transcontinental railroads that pass through Idaho. If you want to be able to enjoy the scenery, this is a great way to travel. Check up on the routing to see if the trains stop near your vacation destination.
