  • Location, Comfort, Value!

"Thia's soul pad was perfect for our recent ski vacation to Sun Valley. Best of all it snowed every day we were there and the powder was amazing. The condo location was close to all three mountain access points and also within easy walking distance to town. The condo itself is very cozy and well maintained. The beds were comfortable and the hot tub was great after skiing. The kitchen was well supplied for cooking and the living area was very inviting with its pellet stove. Great porches and plant hooks to dry out wet ski gear Thia was a great host too, providing information and suggestions whenever we asked. The soul pad made for a memorable family ski vacation."

  • Great house in a beautiful location!

"We spent a week here with another couple. The home was clean and comfortable and the owner was very attentive to all our questions. The setting is spectacular-- beauty in all four directions. Driggs was a charming, fun town. The fishing, hiking, and wildlife spotting was great!"

  • Wonderful Family Vacation

"Our family had a wonderful time at this Hayden Lake House. Thank You so much for sharing it with us! Kids loved the water, canoeing, and visiting the Sandbar. The grown ups loved the amazing deck and views and being centrally located to Coeur d'alene, Silverwood and Sandpoint for daytrips. We look forward to returning next Summer, we finally found a family vacation we all can agree on! PS: Jeanne is a fabulous hostess!"

  • Great Rental for a family with everything you need

"We loved the house, lots of room for kids, grand-kids and adults. There is a nice little fishing pond in the backyard that kept all ages happy. The house has all the things you need for everyday, spices in the cupboard, plastic wrap, plenty of paper products, beach towels, laundry soap etc. Very comfy beds with nice comforters. Master suite has a big sitting area with a flat screen, so if you need to get away from the others you can. WiFi in the house too. There are also some bikes at the house to use."

Idaho Travel Tips

Season to Visit Idaho Vacation Rentals

Idaho’s climate varies in accordance with its terrain and is therefore quite different in different parts of the state. The southern low lying regions enjoy warm summers with hot days and balmy nights. Most rainfall occurs during the summer season in this area and rain showers are generally quite short-lived. For many of the lake areas in the south, summer is the preferred time of year to book one of our Idaho rentals. The warm days allow the kids to enjoy playing in the lake waters and enjoying a wide variety of water sport activities. The mountain areas, full of great Idaho cabin rentals, are much cooler and receive heavy snowfall between December and March each year. This provides ideal snow skiing conditions for the many ski resorts.

Activities at Idaho Cabin Rentals

Idaho is home to many scenic lakes. Within easy driving distance, there are at least six lakes which are all great vacation destinations. Facilities vary depending on the recreational classifications of the lakes but all offer great fishing opportunities. Most allow recreational boating including power boating and are ideal destinations for waterskiing, wake boarding and leisurely sunset cruises. Many cabins for rent in Idaho are located on the lakeshore, providing easy access to the water. Many have private docks where you can tie your boat up for the duration of your stay. For families, you can enjoy long summer days enjoying a wide variety of water sports. In the afternoon, you can go into town to buy ice cream and get some bait for an early morning fishing excursion the next day. The lakes are great for paddling and many marinas have kayaks available to hire. In the winter months, one of the most popular activities is snowmobiling. There are also many groomed trails for cross country skiing. In the mountain areas, there are a number of high-class ski resorts, particularly in the area of Sun Valley, where you can easily find great ski cabin rentals in Idaho.

Visitors to Idaho Vacation Rentals

Idaho is probably one of the lesser known vacation destinations. Most people think of it as the potato state and are unaware of the beautiful mountain ranges and lakes that make it an ideal vacation destination. It is a relatively affordable destination where vacation rentals in Idaho are large and spacious. This makes it an ideal destination for a family vacation. People who will enjoy Idaho are those who appreciate nature, beautiful scenery and the outdoors. There are many activities available in both summer and winter. It is a destination where you can relax, take a break from busy city life, and enjoy some quality time with your friends and family. The many lakes attract fishing enthusiasts from both near and far. Many of the communities hold annual fishing fests which are great events to attend.

Traveling to Idaho

The main access point to Idaho is in the Capital City of Boise which is located in the far southwestern corner of the state. To get to the northern parts of Idaho, the closest airport is Spokane International Airport which is located in the neighboring state of Washington. Both these airports host regularly scheduled flights from most major cities in North America. There is quite an extensive and well-maintained road network in Idaho and the best way to get to your vacation destination is usually by car. Rental agencies are located at the airports and it is advisable to make reservations in advance, especially over weekends and peak holiday periods. There are two transcontinental railroads that pass through Idaho. If you want to be able to enjoy the scenery, this is a great way to travel. Check up on the routing to see if the trains stop near your vacation destination.
