  • Gorgeous getaway!

"Booked the Eagle's Nest for me and my husband to explore the Northwest. From beginning to end the owner and manager were very helpful and friendly. The cabin far exceeded every expectation we had. Beautiful views, comfortable living areas/bedrooms and best of all CLEAN AND NEAT! Full kitchen with all of the tools was also very helpful. Close proximity to many different national parks and plenty of things to see and do. The animals that visited us during our stay was a bonus. Saw lots of deer and turkeys! I hope that we can come back soon!"

  • Inviting With Great Views

"What a fantastic view from the patio. The condo has an overall inviting feel to it. Every room is cozy and tastefully decorated. Love the kitchen. It's a inspiring chefs delight. It was also very welcoming and appreciated on how well stocked the kitchen is. Comfortable bedrooms and the bathrooms are amazing. This condo is perfect for a single couple, a family or for two couples to share."

  • Very comfortable well-equipped condo a few minutes from lifts and from downtown Ketchum

"Two adult couples, part of a larger group, shared this condo for five days at end of February 2015. The pictures on the website are an accurate portrayal of this comfortable and fully-equipped space. We were able to host a dinner party for 14! Lots of dishes, wineglasses, etc. The condo is a couple of minutes' drive from the River Run lifts, or a short walk to the frequent and free bus service to the lifts. It is also a ten or 15 minute walk into the heart of Ketchum - the restaurants, grocery stores, ski shops, etc. Peter was most kind and attentive, and emailed us shortly after our arrival to ask if everything was OK. We would certainly stay at this condo again!"

  • A Wonderful Place to Stay

"We stayed at Mtn Greyporch for a week at the end of August. We found the house to be well equipped, very nicely decorated and with comfortable beds. The house is well laid out with plenty of space. Really enjoyed sitting out on the spacious porches to enjoy the beauty and serenity of the area. It is convenient to the town of Driggs and a short drive to Jackson and Grand Teton Park. There is great hiking and fly fishing close by. Also, it was great to meet the owners. Would definitely stay here again."

Idaho Travel Tips

Season to Visit Idaho Vacation Rentals

Idaho’s climate varies in accordance with its terrain and is therefore quite different in different parts of the state. The southern low lying regions enjoy warm summers with hot days and balmy nights. Most rainfall occurs during the summer season in this area and rain showers are generally quite short-lived. For many of the lake areas in the south, summer is the preferred time of year to book one of our Idaho rentals. The warm days allow the kids to enjoy playing in the lake waters and enjoying a wide variety of water sport activities. The mountain areas, full of great Idaho cabin rentals, are much cooler and receive heavy snowfall between December and March each year. This provides ideal snow skiing conditions for the many ski resorts.

Activities at Idaho Cabin Rentals

Idaho is home to many scenic lakes. Within easy driving distance, there are at least six lakes which are all great vacation destinations. Facilities vary depending on the recreational classifications of the lakes but all offer great fishing opportunities. Most allow recreational boating including power boating and are ideal destinations for waterskiing, wake boarding and leisurely sunset cruises. Many cabins for rent in Idaho are located on the lakeshore, providing easy access to the water. Many have private docks where you can tie your boat up for the duration of your stay. For families, you can enjoy long summer days enjoying a wide variety of water sports. In the afternoon, you can go into town to buy ice cream and get some bait for an early morning fishing excursion the next day. The lakes are great for paddling and many marinas have kayaks available to hire. In the winter months, one of the most popular activities is snowmobiling. There are also many groomed trails for cross country skiing. In the mountain areas, there are a number of high-class ski resorts, particularly in the area of Sun Valley, where you can easily find great ski cabin rentals in Idaho.

Visitors to Idaho Vacation Rentals

Idaho is probably one of the lesser known vacation destinations. Most people think of it as the potato state and are unaware of the beautiful mountain ranges and lakes that make it an ideal vacation destination. It is a relatively affordable destination where vacation rentals in Idaho are large and spacious. This makes it an ideal destination for a family vacation. People who will enjoy Idaho are those who appreciate nature, beautiful scenery and the outdoors. There are many activities available in both summer and winter. It is a destination where you can relax, take a break from busy city life, and enjoy some quality time with your friends and family. The many lakes attract fishing enthusiasts from both near and far. Many of the communities hold annual fishing fests which are great events to attend.

Traveling to Idaho

The main access point to Idaho is in the Capital City of Boise which is located in the far southwestern corner of the state. To get to the northern parts of Idaho, the closest airport is Spokane International Airport which is located in the neighboring state of Washington. Both these airports host regularly scheduled flights from most major cities in North America. There is quite an extensive and well-maintained road network in Idaho and the best way to get to your vacation destination is usually by car. Rental agencies are located at the airports and it is advisable to make reservations in advance, especially over weekends and peak holiday periods. There are two transcontinental railroads that pass through Idaho. If you want to be able to enjoy the scenery, this is a great way to travel. Check up on the routing to see if the trains stop near your vacation destination.
