  • Beautiful Home

"This vacation home is fairly priced for being right on the water and right in Coeur d'Alene. The home is spacious and beautiful with beautiful views out the large windows. The home is just as great as it looks in the pictures. It was well furnished and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. There is a boat launch conveniently located directly across the river from the home, only a short drive away. Also you can park your boat trailer at the Sailing Club (just across the street from the boat launch) for a reasonable price. We had two families that met up for the week, and this was a great place to stay. We love vacationing in Coeur d'Alene and highly recommend this home."

  • Wonderful Location & Property -Walk or bike to Main St Ketchum!

"We (family of 4 -2 kids age 9 &7 & 2 adults mid 40s) can't say enough about this house -It was more than enough space for us - could have handled 8 - 4 kids & 4 adults easily. It had a contemporary mountain/modern feel w/out going over the top - this house was perfectly located for a weekend escape to all Sun Valley & Ketchum have to offer (town access for Java on 4th & mountain trails access) without hearing any traffic noise. To start, the fall colors of the aspen lined driveway lead you up to a spacious garage filled with weekend toys (tennis rackets/cruiser bikes). We brought our own mtn bikes, but tennis courts were just at the end of the street! There is a tree-sheltered porch off the kitchen overlooking the property that was repeatedly used for morning coffee & cocktail hour. The bedroom/bathroom accommodations were pristine. For kids: the bunk room could sleep 4 kiddos (but 2 kids each having top bunk dibs was even more of a plus! with bathroom adjacent. We stayed in the master bedroom downstairs -very quiet & with private door access to the hot tub it was a dream! Living room was restorative with big chairs & a cozy couch to collapse in after a day hiking Chocolate Gulch & biking home from Main St Restaurants! LR has gas fired option to make that perfect fire (with wood) if you're not the most skilled in pyrotechnics. Nice sound system too. Highly recommend, we would stay here again. Owners very easy to work with & were attentive."

  • Anniversary Getaway

"This was our second visit to Lolita's condo and we hope to get back there many more times. Like last year we enjoyed our anniversary getaway here. We like to be active so having the paved walking/biking path right outside the door makes this a perfect location for us. We walked into town every morning along the river and even saw a few families of baby ducks and geese. We took our bikes with us on this trip and drove to Plumber and rode the path (separated from the road) along the lake to Harrison one day, had lunch then road back. Spectacular views and the most incredible bridge to pass over the lake. Another day we drove to the Washington state line and rode again on a (separated from the highway) paved path almost to Spokane along the Spokane River. Another beautiful ride. Lolita's condo was immaculate. The kitchen is very well equipped and the king size bed is very comfortable. The view from the deck is beautiful and it's nice to relax out there and watch the boats go by. Thanks again Lolita. We had a very hard time leaving and can't wait to return."

Idaho Travel Tips

Season to Visit Idaho Vacation Rentals

Idaho’s climate varies in accordance with its terrain and is therefore quite different in different parts of the state. The southern low lying regions enjoy warm summers with hot days and balmy nights. Most rainfall occurs during the summer season in this area and rain showers are generally quite short-lived. For many of the lake areas in the south, summer is the preferred time of year to book one of our Idaho rentals. The warm days allow the kids to enjoy playing in the lake waters and enjoying a wide variety of water sport activities. The mountain areas, full of great Idaho cabin rentals, are much cooler and receive heavy snowfall between December and March each year. This provides ideal snow skiing conditions for the many ski resorts.

Activities at Idaho Cabin Rentals

Idaho is home to many scenic lakes. Within easy driving distance, there are at least six lakes which are all great vacation destinations. Facilities vary depending on the recreational classifications of the lakes but all offer great fishing opportunities. Most allow recreational boating including power boating and are ideal destinations for waterskiing, wake boarding and leisurely sunset cruises. Many cabins for rent in Idaho are located on the lakeshore, providing easy access to the water. Many have private docks where you can tie your boat up for the duration of your stay. For families, you can enjoy long summer days enjoying a wide variety of water sports. In the afternoon, you can go into town to buy ice cream and get some bait for an early morning fishing excursion the next day. The lakes are great for paddling and many marinas have kayaks available to hire. In the winter months, one of the most popular activities is snowmobiling. There are also many groomed trails for cross country skiing. In the mountain areas, there are a number of high-class ski resorts, particularly in the area of Sun Valley, where you can easily find great ski cabin rentals in Idaho.

Visitors to Idaho Vacation Rentals

Idaho is probably one of the lesser known vacation destinations. Most people think of it as the potato state and are unaware of the beautiful mountain ranges and lakes that make it an ideal vacation destination. It is a relatively affordable destination where vacation rentals in Idaho are large and spacious. This makes it an ideal destination for a family vacation. People who will enjoy Idaho are those who appreciate nature, beautiful scenery and the outdoors. There are many activities available in both summer and winter. It is a destination where you can relax, take a break from busy city life, and enjoy some quality time with your friends and family. The many lakes attract fishing enthusiasts from both near and far. Many of the communities hold annual fishing fests which are great events to attend.

Traveling to Idaho

The main access point to Idaho is in the Capital City of Boise which is located in the far southwestern corner of the state. To get to the northern parts of Idaho, the closest airport is Spokane International Airport which is located in the neighboring state of Washington. Both these airports host regularly scheduled flights from most major cities in North America. There is quite an extensive and well-maintained road network in Idaho and the best way to get to your vacation destination is usually by car. Rental agencies are located at the airports and it is advisable to make reservations in advance, especially over weekends and peak holiday periods. There are two transcontinental railroads that pass through Idaho. If you want to be able to enjoy the scenery, this is a great way to travel. Check up on the routing to see if the trains stop near your vacation destination.
