"Thank you so much Charlotte for sharing your beautiful home. The home is close enough to town but yet so quiet and peaceful. Enjoyed sightseeing, Driggs Farmer's Market, vodka distillery, and relaxing. Don't forget to check out Grand Targhee Resort. This resort is a true hidden treasure absolutely breathtaking ! There is a nice hot tub with a large deck. Our children enjoyed having the bikes. I would highly recommend renting this beautiful town home!!"

  • Beautiful Cabin and Location

"Rating Details: I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This cabin was perfect for our small family gathering. We had just about everything we needed (minus a cutting board and extra ping pong balls). Even though it rained the whole time we where there, we still enjoyed the amenities. Really beautiful cabin with nice furnishings. We would recommend a checkout time of noon though so towels could be washed and dried in time, or leave it to be done along with the sheets for the maid."

  • Great family getaway

"This review is late, but better late than never! Our family stayed here for a weekend with our two teenage girls. The home had everything we needed, including a great selection of board games, and music. We arrived a little before the official check in time and the cleaners were just finishing up and were very accommodating. The house was very clean and inviting. The beach was very muddy since the water level was going down at the time we visiting, which we expected ahead of time. We all enjoyed using the kayaks and the little rowboat. The water was very shallow and not good for swimming, but we also expected that. I'm sure earlier in the summer it's great. Our dog LOVED chasing frogs up and down the bank. Luckily, there was a hose at the house to wash him down with! Wi-Fi was reliable, but remember this is out there a ways, so it's not fast. We were fine with this! If you have to go to town, keep in mind its quite a long, slow drive, so prepare accordingly. We wanted to be away from it all so this worked just fine for us. My only suggestions for improvment would be to add some sort of mattress pads to the mattress, as they are VERY firm and not what our backs were used to. Also, the fridge was not clean inside, but this may have been because we arrived earlier than expected. The owner was responsive and helpful. We would certainly go back and send our friends there too!"

"Very well decorated and it was well stocked with any item you may need for cooking. It was such a comfortable Condo. We would go back anytime and recommend it for our family and friends to use. The balcony was so relaxing and the ability to be close to resturants as well as other shops and cinema is a real plus. It was great to have 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms for us and our family in a split bedroom plan. Thank you Ed and Joanne for letting us use your property!"

Idaho Travel Tips

Season to Visit Idaho Vacation Rentals

Idaho’s climate varies in accordance with its terrain and is therefore quite different in different parts of the state. The southern low lying regions enjoy warm summers with hot days and balmy nights. Most rainfall occurs during the summer season in this area and rain showers are generally quite short-lived. For many of the lake areas in the south, summer is the preferred time of year to book one of our Idaho rentals. The warm days allow the kids to enjoy playing in the lake waters and enjoying a wide variety of water sport activities. The mountain areas, full of great Idaho cabin rentals, are much cooler and receive heavy snowfall between December and March each year. This provides ideal snow skiing conditions for the many ski resorts.

Activities at Idaho Cabin Rentals

Idaho is home to many scenic lakes. Within easy driving distance, there are at least six lakes which are all great vacation destinations. Facilities vary depending on the recreational classifications of the lakes but all offer great fishing opportunities. Most allow recreational boating including power boating and are ideal destinations for waterskiing, wake boarding and leisurely sunset cruises. Many cabins for rent in Idaho are located on the lakeshore, providing easy access to the water. Many have private docks where you can tie your boat up for the duration of your stay. For families, you can enjoy long summer days enjoying a wide variety of water sports. In the afternoon, you can go into town to buy ice cream and get some bait for an early morning fishing excursion the next day. The lakes are great for paddling and many marinas have kayaks available to hire. In the winter months, one of the most popular activities is snowmobiling. There are also many groomed trails for cross country skiing. In the mountain areas, there are a number of high-class ski resorts, particularly in the area of Sun Valley, where you can easily find great ski cabin rentals in Idaho.

Visitors to Idaho Vacation Rentals

Idaho is probably one of the lesser known vacation destinations. Most people think of it as the potato state and are unaware of the beautiful mountain ranges and lakes that make it an ideal vacation destination. It is a relatively affordable destination where vacation rentals in Idaho are large and spacious. This makes it an ideal destination for a family vacation. People who will enjoy Idaho are those who appreciate nature, beautiful scenery and the outdoors. There are many activities available in both summer and winter. It is a destination where you can relax, take a break from busy city life, and enjoy some quality time with your friends and family. The many lakes attract fishing enthusiasts from both near and far. Many of the communities hold annual fishing fests which are great events to attend.

Traveling to Idaho

The main access point to Idaho is in the Capital City of Boise which is located in the far southwestern corner of the state. To get to the northern parts of Idaho, the closest airport is Spokane International Airport which is located in the neighboring state of Washington. Both these airports host regularly scheduled flights from most major cities in North America. There is quite an extensive and well-maintained road network in Idaho and the best way to get to your vacation destination is usually by car. Rental agencies are located at the airports and it is advisable to make reservations in advance, especially over weekends and peak holiday periods. There are two transcontinental railroads that pass through Idaho. If you want to be able to enjoy the scenery, this is a great way to travel. Check up on the routing to see if the trains stop near your vacation destination.
