"Plenty of room for a family reunion. All the rooms are large with nice furnishings. Large deck to sit outside and for kids to play on. The swing set was great for the kids and the adults enjoyed the hot tub. Good location for Lake Kincaid and wine trail close by. We had a good time at Hale Chalet."

"I couldnt' have asked for a better place to stay for my boyfriend and I's recent wine trail excursion. The place looks like a downtown Chicago loft dropped down in the middle of small town Alto Pass (I actually live in downtown Chicago and it puts my condo to shame!). Brian has thought of every detail imaginable.....from the modern decor to the latest technology. I am eager to go back soon and hopefully bring friends as I cannot think of one person I know who wouldn't adore it. The wine trail itself is unbelievable. I've been on many of these tours, and this is hands down the most versatile, unique set of wineries I've ever visited. The countryside is georgous and it is very clear from the get go that the people at the vineyards are truly passionate about what they do. Everyone was so friendly and accomodating. Many of them also brew beer so if you are dragging a boyfriend (like me) who prefers beer vs wine, you are all set! I'm telling you though, if you are planning to do this trip in one day, you are going to be sorry! Take my advice and go for (at LEAST) a long weekend! It is impossible to hit up all the wineries in one day, there is all sorts of little farmers markets and shopping nearby and of course, you are going to want to hang out at Brian's place and enjoy it because it is SO relaxing and georgous. Go for it, you won't be sorry!"
