"We were back on a familiar street where we once owned an apartment. The location is perfect for transportation, Chicago downtown and beach activities. Only problem was a mishap with owner's cleaning company when the cleaner did not show up. Substitute cleaner was very efficient and conscientious and we only asked that the essentials be taken care of. We couldn't get into apartment until 18:30. Ashley told us our cleaning fee would be returned. Towels were limited and would suggest beach towels on hand in summer and perhaps a parasol. Air conditioners too loud to sleep with. Comfortable apartment and felt quite at home in the apartment. We had a lovely stay despite initial problem. Would recommend Apartment 2. Neighborhood changing. We had one last chance to enjoy Big Bowl, Corner Bakery, DaLobster (formerly Ashkenaz Deli). They all closed the week we were there -- buildings being converted to shopping."

"Ritchie Manor is a lovely, historic building in a great location. We stayed in Unit 4 on the top floor. The apartment is spacious and filled with light. We are a family of 3 and had more than enough room. From this location, you can walk to so many great areas of Chicago -- the lake front, Rush Street, the river, the Magnificent Mile -- all so close. The building is a walk up, so be aware that you have to be able to take a couple of stair cases up, but it is well worth. The apartment is well equipped with an updated kitchen.
We look forward to our next trip to Chicago and to Ritchie Manor!"

"We loved the location of this unit. Close to the lake, shopping and of course great restaurants. It is not well suited for cooking in but has the basics for heating prepared foods. Clean with nice decor, comfortable bed and great business transaction process. Bedroom is away from the street and very quiet. Our only complaint is with the bathroom. Very small sink and the bath faucet is very loose and difficult to pull out. Hopefully that will be repaired before it breaks on a guest. One other item. This unit is on the 3rd floor. The instructions required taking out the trash at the back of the unit. This was quite a chore given there are lots of steep and narrow stairs."
