  • THE BEST PLACE EVER!

"I don't really know where to start on this FABULOUS condo! First off, George was the BEST host. He communicated in a timely manner, had exactly what was promised for us, friendly and very helpful! The breakfast items, wine and snacks were a perfect addition when we showed up. The condo was very clean, neat, accessible and everything it was advertised as. It was our "home away from home". Some definite perks were the washer/dryer, internet, and 2 portable fans! The view from the condo was amazing! Overlooked Soldier Field and Lake Michigan and the sunsets were awesome! The location was PERFECT! The L train was right around the corner as was many museums and restaurants. Many times we walked from downtown, hitting Grant Park, Millenium Park, the Crown Fountain and other little parks. There are a ton of them so close by! We purchased the Chicago Go Card which let us in 25 of Chicago's best museums, boat rides, Navy Pier etc! It was the best way to go since we were there a week and we had our 10 year old son with us! Must do's/sees are: Architecture boat tour, Field Museum, Science and Industry Museum, Tall Windy Ship, Navy Pier, ride bikes on Lake Michigan, trolley tour around the city, ride the L around the city, Willis Tower, have a drink at the Palmer Hotel, Hancock Building, eat Chicago style pizza at Giordano's, eat a italian beef sandwich at Portillo's, see a Cubs game at Wrigley, shop on Magnificent Mile (eat lunch at Foodlife at Water Tower)!! Chicago is one of my favorite places! I was so sad to leave, but know I will be back because I have such an awesome place to stay! You will not go wrong with this condo and be so excited you found a gem!"

  • Fantastic house!

"We had an amazing stay at Hillcrest Farm in July 2014. The house was immaculate and well-appointed. The rooms were so nice and spacious. The gardens and yard were also beautiful, and my kids LOVED all of the space to run around (we come from a place with small yards). Jerry was so nice to work with, and we felt that we got an AMAZING value in this property! If you're staying in the area, I HIGHLY recommend this property!!!"

  • Nice apt for short term stay

"My husband and I rented this apartment for 2 1/2 weeks. The apartment is better suited for a stay of a couple of days rather than the longer stay we had. The kitchen was very small with little counter space for cooking, had no dishwasher, and lacked some basic kitchen tools for cooking from scratch. There was also little space to store dishes and pots and pans, which made it more difficult to cook. The other drawbacks were an small bathroom, and an uncomfortable, soft mattress. Also, I expected the apartment to be cleaned more professionally because there is a cleaning fee. Instead, there was dust and cobwebs under the furniture and the bathroom was not scoured as it should have been. That said, the owner is very nice and did try to supply items requested, and the owner did leave some food and cleaning supplies for us. The apartment is also located on a quiet street and very conveniently located to downtown Evanston, and public transportation. We were able to bike or walk downtown and to nice restaurants and Whole Foods. Being 1/2 mile from the Metra made it easy to get to downtown Chicago for some fun exploration."

  • A perfect little getaway place.

"Hubby and I and another couple wanted an end-of-summer break. We were so fortunate to find this place; it's a cozy little house, right on the river. The house is clean and well-stocked (towels, linens, kitchenware/cookware) but if there is anything you need, plenty of stores are just a few minutes away. It was so nice to have the full kitchen - we never once ate at a restaurant, although a bunch are close. We didn't realize it at first, but the homeowners were next door and seemed to enjoy that we were having so much fun (thanks again for videoing our ALS ice bucket challenge for us!). I think the best part was the dock. We were on that from sun-up to sun-down...what a perfect place for morning coffee and a mimosa. We all also enjoyed Bonnie's company - a very sweet black lab. This was just perfect for us...we'll definitely be back!"
