"We were back again at our favorite house on the lake, and had a great time! The house is on a really nice spot on the lake, plus very private and quiet. The house is large, has 2 living levels with 2 full kitchens and plenty of beds for all to be comfortable. It’s very clean and the owner has lots of extras for the children to occupy themselves- videos, games, toys, plus outside toys. My kids couldn’t get enough of the beach and the lake! They played in the sand all day every day and were sad to leave. We were glad to have the huge covered dock to sit in the shade relaxing and fishing while we watched the kids play. Cyndi is wonderful to work with. She is very accommodating and answers all of our questions, plus gives us ideas on places to sightsee. Thanks for having us and will be back next year!"

"All VRBO owners should be like Paul. He responds promptly to questions or issues, and he lives below the unit, so he is available if necessary, but doesn't hover. We were very happy with the rental--well worth the money. And it was so much better than staying in a hotel. VRBO can be a little bit of a risk if you get a bad owner, but not this one. I can see why Paul has a 4.9 star rating.
As for the unit itself, it's definitely vintage (I would guess 100+ year old building), but it was IMMACULATE. My wife likes things clean, and the place was spotless. The bedrooms are quite small, but it wasn't a problem. The neighborhood is quiet, and only a short walk to Andersonville with tons of great restaurants, shops, coffee, etc.
We didn't end up using any public transportation because we were running around the metro area visiting family, so the garage was great. And so was the back patio--shady with all the trees, so it's quite comfortable even during hot midwestern days.
Next time my family and I are in Chicago, I'm sure we'll be staying here! Thanks Paul!"

"We had a great time staying at this vacation rental. It's a beautiful home, with beautiful views right on the Fox Valley River. I brought a team of 6 students for a weekend retreat, and we all loved it! We were here in the middle of January, so it was cold, snowy, and frozen outside but warm and cozy inside. We even went for a walk in the snow on a path not far from the house that went along the river. I mostly chatted with Olga throughout our time there, and she was very helpful with any questions that came up during our stay."
