"My husband grew up near Millstadt and had been wanting to "go home" for a long time. We always use VRBO for vacation rentals and were so excited when we found this place. So we loaded up our tandem bicycle and made the 800 plus road trip from Raleigh, NC. The location and house were perfect for our trip back home. My husband's Dad also drove up from New Mexico to join us. We enjoyed visiting nearby Belleville, seeing how it has changed over the past 30 years, and riding over some of the roads my husband rode years ago! It was fun sitting on the floating dock at the small lake at the house bird watching. The accommodations had a true lodge feel with many small touches that made our stay very enjoyable. Susie was so great to work with and made us feel very welcome. We look forward to a return visit and recommend this rental for anyone looking for a place to enjoy peace and quiet and some time away from the stresses of everyday life!"

Go figure - 1,900 square ft with a Jacuzzi..Its the real deal
"I'm a former Illinois resident so when I saw that amount of space in Little Italy, I was just dying to see the entire layout. To my pleasant surprise, it was eye opening to see how their place is laid out and sure enough it was a great stay for us. I have stayed at various VRBO rentals and this condo was CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN. My gal is allergy ridden so if she starts to sneeze and get clogged up, I know something is not right. The king bed was comfortable and the noise level was minimal on the weekend of our stay. Location wise this is my 1st downtown trip where we did not use a car or taxi to get to shows and museums that we frequent. I'm a big fan of the 'L' so all transportation was off the Blue line at Loomis St. We had terrific Italian dinners off Taylor Street and W. Vernon Park Pl. Loading up supplies for the weekend, Target was a few blocks nearby. For the gals, the bathrooms are small but for us guys, it was fine by me. We had a minor parking snafu as a result of Chicago Fire being filmed in the area. I called Tracy and she returned my call very quickly to provide options. It all worked out in the end as I was able to slide into a parking spot right when someone else was leaving. It was on the street with a view of our vehicle outside the window. Nice being able to park for FREE the entire weekend in downtown Chicago with the built-in price until our departure. Overall, it was an excellent stay for us."

"Our stay included my 92 year old mother, my adult nephew and his wife, my husband and me. We use to live in the area and our long weekend had many family and friends stopping by to say hello, (and see the great house). Room for everyone and everything we needed was there. The upstairs bedrooms are large and oh so comfortable. The sun porch was an instant favorite and we used the dining room for a game room. Lots of card playing. All who stopped by were impressed, very impressed. It was like staying with a beloved relative in their wonderful home. The upstairs family room had games and toys for the little ones and room for the guys to watch the Bears game. From downstairs you can't hear any thing from upstairs, including your cell phone so carry it with you, or get yelled at like me from my sister!!!! The train to Chicago was close but we opted to drive downtown and it's an easy drive straight down I55, not fast getting home but straight! I can't imagine a better home to stay in and Cynthia is accommodating and helpful. Her restaurant recommendation, Illinois Bar and Grill, was spot on. I would recommend The Singer Mansion to the most particular. Cleanliness was exceptional."

"Although we live just a few miles from this location I booked it for my husband and I to have a place to relax and rest after a long period of stress and loss for our family. It couldn't have been more perfect. Quiet, serene, beautiful, relaxing, fun are just a few of the words we've used to describe it. Spent a lot of time fishing, swimming, and enjoying the outdoors and awesome landscaping. Caretakers were extremely helpful and friendly. The owners are very gracious and accommodating. We love that it provides the perfect setting for us older (70ish) folks and we definitely look forward to our next stay. Thanks Anne for making it all happen so smoothly."
