"We wanted a cool place for a get-together for our group of lifelong friends, all of whom recently had milestone birthdays. We needed something classy, comfortable, and spacious and I booked the cabin after investigating several in the area. We were skeptical that it could be as perfect as the VRBO site described it to be, but it exceeded our expectations. We found it to be spotless, well-maintained, and equipped with everything we needed. The comfort and woodsy ambiance trumped the absence of wi-fi or hundreds of tv channels. Bring some wine, your favorite dvd's and some music cd's and player and relax in front of the fireplace in the Great Room. If you can tear yourself away, it's close enough to starved rock and mathiessen for hiking, or to utica for cute shops and good food. The owner was quick to respond to any and all of our questions or concerns. we had a great time and highly recommend this cabin."

"I'm a former Illinois resident so when I saw that amount of space in Little Italy, I was just dying to see the entire layout. To my pleasant surprise, it was eye opening to see how their place is laid out and sure enough it was a great stay for us. I have stayed at various VRBO rentals and this condo was CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN. My gal is allergy ridden so if she starts to sneeze and get clogged up, I know something is not right. The king bed was comfortable and the noise level was minimal on the weekend of our stay. Location wise this is my 1st downtown trip where we did not use a car or taxi to get to shows and museums that we frequent. I'm a big fan of the 'L' so all transportation was off the Blue line at Loomis St. We had terrific Italian dinners off Taylor Street and W. Vernon Park Pl. Loading up supplies for the weekend, Target was a few blocks nearby. For the gals, the bathrooms are small but for us guys, it was fine by me. We had a minor parking snafu as a result of Chicago Fire being filmed in the area. I called Tracy and she returned my call very quickly to provide options. It all worked out in the end as I was able to slide into a parking spot right when someone else was leaving. It was on the street with a view of our vehicle outside the window. Nice being able to park for FREE the entire weekend in downtown Chicago with the built-in price until our departure. Overall, it was an excellent stay for us."

"We had a great time - 9 of us ladies for a getaway weekend. Despite rainy weather, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! Our only regret is that we didn't get to try the pool out, since the Sun didn't make an appearance all weekend. Good thing the house had plenty of space for us to hang out in!"

"Last year, my wife & I stayed at Magnolia Studios as part of an extended holiday in the US. We both loved the place. As soon as I knew I had a conference in downtown Chicago, I immediately booked again. Studio 1 proved a wonderful haven in the bitter tail-end of a cold Chicago winter. It was a welcome change to the usual conference accommodation and was as warm and comfortable in the winter as it had been cool and comfortable in the summer. While there for 11 nights, some plumbing work was required in the garden. By way of apology for any inconvenience, I arrived home one evening to find a fine selection of Illinois brews and some chocolates accompanying an explanation of what could be expected. More than adequate compensation for having to wait 5 seconds for the plumber to step aside one morning and me step across a hole. I would highly recommend this place as an ideal alternative to a hotel for anyone with a bit of time to spend in Chicago."
