  • Fabulous 2-level condo in wonderful neighborhood!

"Love the no-key entry, which made it very easy for multiple guests arriving at different times to gain entry. The apartment was fresh and clean with lovely music playing when we arrived. The apartment was beautiful, spotless and well located, and unlike many other VRBO or airBNB places, we didn't have to provide annoying necessities like toilet paper and paper towels and trash bags. The owners also take care of stripping beds and laundering towels, etc, so it really was 5-star service! This was really a great feature since we were staying for just the weekend and didn't want to have to deal with these things. It made it like a hotel stay but with the warmth and comfort of a home. Without reservation, I would definitely stay here again and will be calling next time we are going to Chicago with a group!"

  • Great option for a rural setting weekend retreat

"Susie & Ernie's property is a perfect setting for a retreat from the hustle & bustle of life. Lodge was perfect for 5 girls who are used to packing everything for camping; staying at the Lodge required nothing more than groceries & clothing. Lots of shady green spaces for playing bocce ball & washers or just hanging out in lawn chairs chilling out in the shade listening to KSHE all day. Waking up to a lake view and the sun setting over the water was a nice part of the experience, not to mention the hot tub was awesome early in the morning or after sunset. The Lodge feels rural, but still close enough if someone would want to drive in to Belleville, Fairview Heights, or St. Louis for some shopping therapy. We enjoyed ourselves...thanks for the hospitality!"

  • Perfect location

"This was an excellent location (extremely central, practically across the street from Grant Park) and less expensive than the hotels in the area. It's not a luxury accommodation but a small, clean, quiet studio apartment, perfect for 1 or 2 people visiting for a week of Chicago sightseeing. All trains, including the blue line from O'Hare, come within walking distance of this location. For breakfast in the neighborhood, there's a French pastry place and Wildberry Cafe, and there's a Target store nearby for food and supplies."

  • Can't wait to do it again

"Clean, organized with every amenity you will want. Thank you for wifi, which was unexpected. A beautiful well maintained home that feels at home the minute you enter. We look forward to returning during golf season. Thank you for sharing with us. Highly recommended. Kent and Barbara Duffy"
