  • Great place!

"We had a great sibling reunion in this lovely home. The 9 of us who stayed here had everything that we needed. The spacious dining room easily served as a great place to share our meals that we prepared in the very nicely equipped kitchen. The living room was very comfortable for all of us and the 5 bedrooms were like 5 star hotel rooms. The attractions of Galena including dining, shopping, sight seeing, and golf were just a short drive away. The owners were fantastic to work with. I recommend it highly!"

  • Perfect for exploring Chicago!

"My wife and I stayed here for five days along with another couple from Australia during September. The Accommodations were as advertised, clean, very comfortable and complete. The Old Town neighborhood was very nice, and the El station was within easy walking distance; only a few stops from downtown. We enjoyed a show at nearby second city and also a great dinner in a nearby pub. The owners were very good to work with, and graciously allowed us late check-out since our Amtrak departure was late in the day. We are definitely coming back for further Chicago adventures. Make sure to take the downtown architectural cruise on the Chicago River.... excellent."

  • Nice apt for short term stay

"My husband and I rented this apartment for 2 1/2 weeks. The apartment is better suited for a stay of a couple of days rather than the longer stay we had. The kitchen was very small with little counter space for cooking, had no dishwasher, and lacked some basic kitchen tools for cooking from scratch. There was also little space to store dishes and pots and pans, which made it more difficult to cook. The other drawbacks were an small bathroom, and an uncomfortable, soft mattress. Also, I expected the apartment to be cleaned more professionally because there is a cleaning fee. Instead, there was dust and cobwebs under the furniture and the bathroom was not scoured as it should have been. That said, the owner is very nice and did try to supply items requested, and the owner did leave some food and cleaning supplies for us. The apartment is also located on a quiet street and very conveniently located to downtown Evanston, and public transportation. We were able to bike or walk downtown and to nice restaurants and Whole Foods. Being 1/2 mile from the Metra made it easy to get to downtown Chicago for some fun exploration."

  • Cozy & Modern

"We were in town for a family gathering and the condo provided a nice solution for extended family, close by to those residing in Chicago. Condo was convenient, bathrooms modernized, décor was cozy, simple, clean and comfortable. Resident manager lives in the same building which is reassuring and convenient--he was accommodating, professional and easy to work with. Would definitely stay there again and will recommend for others!"
