  • Beautiful house

"My Family and I had the pleasure of staying here last weekend for a wedding. It is an amazing place. Unfortunately we did not have enough time to fully enjoy it. We are planning a second trip in the very near future. It is very clean and well kept. Very comfortable and cozy. Thank you Sandra for all your help."

  • Lovely property for a big group, convenient to state parks

"When four families converged on this house from all over the country, we were delighted to find a bright, clean, lovely home in a cute family resort that was convenient to local attractions. The 55th anniversary couple took the lovely master suite on the third floor, and the rest of us spread out in the large bunk room, the double double bedroom with the hot tub, and sleeper couches. Even with our large group there was no waiting on bathrooms, with four spotless well-appointed ones available. It's an end unit of a group of four townhouses that is very quiet and private feeling. The back deck overlooks a lawn and pond, and is a lovely place to sit and have morning coffee. Speaking of coffee, the kitchen is well equipped, from a good quality coffee maker to plenty of stemware and everything in between. We really didn't need to bring anything but food. We enjoyed hopping the little "train" that circles the resort property just for kicks. We also enjoyed (after some wails from the teens) not having wifi in the house. There's good wifi in the lodge, if anyone needs it. The TVs get local channels, and we could have watched DVDs, but quite honestly, when we were in the house it was just like olden times -- board games for hours (there are some in the house, if you don't bring your own). Highly recommend walking the trails at Mathison and Starved Rock State Parks and doing a canoe trip (we used C&M rentals and they were terrific). We were already talking about coming back as were loading the cars to leave. The owner is lovely, communicates well, and deals with issues swiftly. Can't ask for better. Thanks, Diane!"

  • Girls Weekend

"We couldn’t have chosen a nicer place to renew old friendships and make new ones. The colors were at their peak, and there couldn’t have been a nicer place to gather than outside on the deck. We never felt the chill as we spent time talking and looking out over the scenery or up at the brilliant stars in the sky. Simply beautiful…. This is definitely a weekend I’d love to do again. Thank you for all you did to extend yourself and make our weekend memorable."
