  • Great Loft in Great Location

"Our family of 4 (2 adults + 2 college kids) were thrilled with the accommodations in this spacious, clean & bright condo. Walking distance to great restaurants & shops and short distance to all attractions. In 4 days, we covered a lot of territory both day & night: museums, Wrigley Field, Willis Tower, blues clubs, parks, Steppenwolf theater, comedy. We highly recommend this loft & would definitely stay here again."

  • Great place!

"5 girlfriends (in their 50's) gathered for a weekend and had a great time. Caught music at the Starved Rock Bar on Friday night, hiked and took in Eagle viewing, winery, hiked again to icy falls on Saturday, ate at the Uptown Grill that evening, talked and watched 2 movies at "home", and ate ourselves sick at the Starved Rock Brunch on Sunday. Nice views from the place, quiet setting, nice kitchen adjacent to dining table and room with couch and fireplace. Good time had by all. Will be back."

"We had a wonderful stay here. The studio was practically new, immaculately clean, nicely furnished, and very quiet considering this is a densely populated area. The carriage house, with 2 studios, is charming, and there is a small courtyard between the carriage house and the main house, often populated by a friendly kitty. I think the owners have gone to pains to think of just about everything a guest would need. Internet speed is slow, but, heck, they give you a laptop! Who could complain, really? Lots of nice restaurants along Bryn Mawr and Clark and some of the side streets. We enjoyed several really nice antique/flea market shops in the area as well. We always felt safe. Public transportation via, mostly, the Red Line El, is quite good. We've been to Chicago a number of times and have stayed in nice (not too upscale) hotels along the Mag Mile. This charming place will give a great experience for, say $50 less per night than a very ordinary room downtown. A great buy, I think."

  • Chris of Cinci

"I was really pleased with my three day stay. Everything was clean and quite comfortable, and especially warm- it was hovering around negative degrees outside. All amenities for cooking and cleaning were available so I didn't have to alter my diet and eat out while there. The code entry doors were nice, didn't have to fumble around with a key or key card. The house is extremely historic and retains enough old time charm without sacrificing modern convieniences. Parking was decent, wasnt hard to find a spot despite deep snow on the ground. We will be staying there again next we come back to Chicago!"
