  • A Slice of Heaven

"My family and I really loved it here. It was fairly secluded, we really felt like we were away from the world. THe kids loved the place as much as we did. We didn't have much plans, so just enjoying the place and the lake was great. The weather was a perfect fall day. Waking up to see the fall leaves all around us through the windows in our bedroom was amazing. One of the highlights of the trip. I love fall, so this was really perfect. I really love the rock steps down to the dock, they look old and beautiful. There were yellow and orange leaves covering everything. We had no problems with the driveway, I could see issues if there was a frost, but it was fine. The bathroom is simple, but perfect for a lakehouse! Our only complaint was that there was no door on the bedroom, which meant for more difficulty in dressing/privacy. It would have been nice to have a door or at least know about it ahead of time for packing more pajamas, but it worked out fine. It just would have been nice to understand the layout ahead of time. I really think we'll be back. The price is great, the distance perfect for us. I really want to see this place in the summertime when the kids can swim in the lake. We did take the boat out for a short row, but it was quite windy and a little difficult to row around. Still, this place was tranquil and amazing. I loved every minute we were there. PS. Thanks for the great games/books/movies and the plentiful cooking supplies! Worked great!"

  • Very nice

"The house was easy to relax in. Nice accommodations, it had everything we needed. It was also close to several local restaurants and an easy drive to Angola."

  • Back again :-)

"We had so much fun last year we came back and once again Mother Nature smiled and gave us beautiful weather. Our family love it so much they are now calling it "our lake house". We cooked all our meals - your kitchen is so well equipped - the newly painted cabinets are beautiful. Once again we brought our kayaks, canoe - and a small sailboat. The little ones spent hours in the water and collecting shells and rocks. We did have a couple rain showers but your toy and puzzle cabinet in the family room kept them happily entertained. The rooms are so well insulated upstairs those who wanted to sleep in could do so. The sunsets are gorgeous and sitting in the lounge chairs at the end of the dock in the cool evening breeze - so relaxing. Thank you again for sharing your beautiful summer cottage on the lake. We're already talking about next year :-)"
