"My wife and I did nothing for five days except eat, sleep, read, write, play Scrabble, and take long walks with our dog. We hope to make a return visit soon, and we've recommended this rental to others. The owners went above and beyond to make sure that our stay was a pleasure. One caution we would give: the property is down a rather steep incline. We had no trouble driving or walking up and down the hill, but others might, especially the elderly. Tip: If you bring large items, such as a cooler, you'll have to walk it down a small hill to get it inside. But in general, the Red Cottage is the perfect, quiet getaway at an affordable price."

"Gorgeous cabin, with lots of great upgrades. The kitchen is wonderful and newly updated, very spacious. Lots of sleeping space and room to move around with a couple of families staying at this cabin.
Negatives: water entry is marshy/see weedy on renters side of the pier, poor docking for watercrafts, swimming area on renters side is poor due to "mucky" water. Able to swim on cabin owners side if they are not out but not ideal to time with relaxation if they are out or not.
This past summer when we rented for two weeks, had the inconvienance of cabin owners showing this cabin to prospective buyers of the property. This was not at all listed in the renters contract that the cabin would have to be available for showings during our rental time. We were there on vacation and our personal space felt very invaded by having complete strangers walk through the cabin with our stuff in there. Along with being asked to wait outside while the prospective buyers looked at the cabin. One of these times we had company up and it was a cool misty/rainy day. Luckily it wasn't a down pour at the time. The realtor said to us if it started raining we could wait in the garage! Are you kidding me!"
