  • A great week away!

"We had a ton of fun getting away for the week. The house was beautiful and fully set up for our whole family to stay. The off street parking is a great plus. We appreciated the very close access to the beach, and had a great time on the deck when we weren't at the beach."

  • Anniversary Weekend

"This was a great house for a multi-generational family stay. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate and we did not get to enjoy the beach and lake as we had hoped, but we did get to the zoo and outlet mall. The zoo is sad and funny at the same time. Definitely NOT a place for animal activists! The outlet mall has a great selection of stores and some good bargains! I would also like to give my thanks to Kim and Kelly at Uptown Cakery, who made a beautiful anniversary cake for my husband and I! While the house was, for the most part, very clean and cared-for, there were a few things that I would like to comment on. For starters, despite having a nice ping-pong table in the lower-level family room, there were only two worn paddles and no balls. We were able to pick some up on our grocery run to Meijer. In addition, while we understood that the house would come with "starter" supplies of paper goods, they were mostly diminished rolls of toilet paper and one 1/2 roll of paper towels, and there was very little liquid dish soap and no dishwasher soap. This was very frustrating as we had to go out a second time to pick up supplies. There were several things (the red wagon on the porch, the fireplace on the lower level, the jetted master tub to name a few) that appeared to need repair, cleaning or other attention. We did have a big problem, which was the hot water heater going out on the second day, and when we contacted Jill, she was quickly there to try to fix it. She could not, but had a plumber there early the next morning. I felt that she was very hands on to that effect, but that perhaps she left the cleaning and stocking of the home to others who were not putting forth the same level of effort."

  • Decent stay for decent price

"This property is only 1 block from the beach. There is alot of walking and stairs required though, but it helped keep us in shape. Plenty of beds and you have everything you need at the house."

  • Lovely from Start to Finish

"Laurel is great - very easy to communicate with and outstanding hospitality. The house is welcoming and the décor could be right out of a magazine. We really enjoyed the fireplace, the artwork, and comfortable details throughout the home. Our family had a memorable getaway -not far from home- that felt like a real vacation. Fun and relaxing - we hope to be back!"
