The airport is located just across the Ohio River which forms the state border with Indiana. For travelers who will be spending their vacations on Lake Michigan and in the northern parts of Indiana, the best airport to travel to would be either Chicago O'Hare International Airport or Chicago Midway International Airport. Technically, this area falls into the greater Chicago Metropolitan area even though it is part of Indiana. From all these airports, there are good public transport links into the cities and surrounding areas. There is an extensive rail network which provides easy access to the major cities. If you prefer, you can also hire a car and drive to your vacation destination.

Attractions and Activities at Indiana Lake Homes

One of the most popular vacation destinations in Indiana is Lake Michigan. The state borders only a small portion of the lakeshore but it is where many of the vacation homes are concentrated. The temperatures are generally hot with the occasional thunderstorms. The peak travel season is during the months of July and August which coincide with the summer vacation season.
