  • You Won't Find a Nicer Home

"We rented Neptune for a family vacation, we had 11 adults and 4 kids. It was the perfect home. The home is really well-decorated and impeccably built. All the little extras (great wood floors, moldings, paint colors, furniture, quality, everything) really make the home feel like a million-dollar home. The master retreat was amazing, especially the bathtub. Outside was great too. The no-wake cove is perfect for swimming and fishing. It got a little daunting for a few people to climb the stairs to/from the beach on a regular basis but most of us were OK. The only things we wish it had were a level yard in the back for the kids to play in the grass, a hot tub for the adults, and possibly a 2nd large refrigerator (With so many people to feed we needed more room in the kitchen for food storage. This home does have several mini fridges though so that helped). Other than that, this home is perfect for a large family gathering. Lake Panorama is beautiful and we had a great trip. We'd also like to thank Steve for being so friendly and helpful."

  • Peaceful

"We took a girls trip to Nashua. Was a little further than I thought from Omaha and we got lost once we were there. But once we found the cabin it was great. The living, dining and kitchen are a very good size. Although we had neighbors on each side of us, we never heard them. It was so quiet. Finally on Sunday we saw some jet ski's and boats go by. Everyone is friendly and waving. We took the canoe up the river (about 500 ft) to a sand bank. We had attached our floats and had a cooler with drinks and snacks. River was low enough where we could walk a good part of the way. It was sooooo relaxing. Also loved the hot tub and fire pit. Had a problem getting the grill started. Only worked once. Not sure if was us or it was out of propane. Either way we just cooked on the stove and enjoyed our meal on the deck overlooking the river. Also took a stroll around Charles City. A very nice town. I would recommend this to anyone who just needs to get away for some downtime!"

  • Wonderful extended family vacation

"I am writing his review on the last night of our five day family vacation, because I want to make sure I do justice to this lovely setting. Our extended family of nine had more room than we needed, and were extremely comfortable, even if the weather did not exactly cooperate on this Labor Day weekend. Each of the five bedrooms had its own bathroom, and there were three hot tubs. There were also walk in showers for us shower lovers, plus a half bath just off the first of two kitchens. This kitchen, on the main floor had two large refrigerators, large counter space, with two double sinks. There were spices aplenty, stove, microwave and dishwasher, which did a great job on the huge dinner plates, a commercial coffee maker (with hot water) and plenty of silverware. Then downstairs, there was another complete kitchen! For three families, it was wonderful. The kids played in the pond, caught fish (catch and release) from the dock and the boats, used the swings, and played ping pong in the basement. There is plenty of storage and there are nooks and comfy couches for reading and relaxing. There is literally NO traffic past the house, but keep in mind it is a drive to any groceries, so plan well. We had all divided the meals, and cooked every night on the large gas grill. One unplanned benefit...there is no tv in the great room, so all the meals required conversation. There are televisions in the bedrooms, but they didn't get used much. The cable and the wifi are great. The owner/operators are across the pond during the day, but at night, it is just you and the grapevines and sounds of nature. And, if you're too lazy to go the the winery for the live entertainment, just open the screened patio door, and listen from your back deck."
