"We love to stay in cabins but this was our FAVORITE! It is so cozy and beautiful and is stocked with everything you need. All you need to do is bring your food. We cooked our meals and then enjoyed them out on the peaceful deck. The views of the river are amazing and we loved sitting on the dock fishing and watching the boats go by. We paddled up and down the river in the canoe provided and also enjoyed a bonfire each evening. We really needed a relaxing weekend away from our busy lives, and this cabin was absolutely perfect!"

"We had our family reunion at Buck Run Lodge. Of course there's always one or two families that show up unexpectedly so we had more than originally anticipated. It worked out great anyway! There's room for 1 or 2 blow up beds on the floor. The family made memories with fishing, kayaking, making s'mores at the fire pit and soaking up the beauty of this place. The huge wrap around porch was perfect. My aunt is in a wheelchair but got around just fine. It would be great to have some handicap handles in the shower but it worked out for her without. My husband grilled every meal on their park grill but we had to be patient as it is petite. Another twin of the current grill or a small propane grill you bring along would work. I would definitely recommend this place to others (already have)."

Great - except for a sewer construction project in the front yard, driveway....
"The house is cute (totally a "period piece" from the 50s), exceptionally clean and very well equipped. It is a step back in time, right down to the fridge magnets! (That also means no cable, and classic VHSs to watch). The owner worked hard to keep us apprised of the construction situation but - especially in conjunction with a significant rainstorm - it was a serious inconvenience and also obviated enjoying a view from the deck. While I think "just off the Lake" is a bit of a stretch, I would gladly stay there again - the owner has thought of everything! Under normal circumstances, this would be a *****!"
