"We rented Neptune for a family vacation, we had 11 adults and 4 kids. It was the perfect home. The home is really well-decorated and impeccably built. All the little extras (great wood floors, moldings, paint colors, furniture, quality, everything) really make the home feel like a million-dollar home. The master retreat was amazing, especially the bathtub. Outside was great too. The no-wake cove is perfect for swimming and fishing. It got a little daunting for a few people to climb the stairs to/from the beach on a regular basis but most of us were OK. The only things we wish it had were a level yard in the back for the kids to play in the grass, a hot tub for the adults, and possibly a 2nd large refrigerator (With so many people to feed we needed more room in the kitchen for food storage. This home does have several mini fridges though so that helped). Other than that, this home is perfect for a large family gathering. Lake Panorama is beautiful and we had a great trip. We'd also like to thank Steve for being so friendly and helpful."

"The house was wonderful. It was very clean, beautifully decorated and fully furnished with everything we needed for a fantastic weekend stay. It was so quiet and peaceful in the countryside. The only thing I would add would be a fire pit in the back yard."

"We spent a week at this well appointed condo in Okoboji. For the most part we were satisfied and happy. Just a few things to note for the traveler. Okoboji goes "off season" after Labor Day. This meant that the resort's "fabulous" lakefront restaurant and "year round" entertainment that are sold as amenities to be enjoyed with the condo have some caveats. No restaurant and the water park was only open Fri. 4-10, Sat. 9-10 and Sun. 9-5. Its too bad because the water park was great! Also note that we were contacted by the condo owner early in our stay with a complaint from a neighbor about what sounded like children running in the building. It was pretty obvious we were the only family with children in the building. She was nice about it and everything but this made us feel a bit on edge our entire visit trying to keep our young boys quiet (which has an exercise in futility). This is why it's important, in my estimation, that "family friendly" descriptions be accurate. So if you have small children I don't know if I would necessarily recommend the condos, you might want to look into a free-standing cabin on the resort property. The location was close to the main strip and thus really convenient. With regard to the unit . . .
Preference comments: fire place is hot air not gas or wood (ie, no real flame). If you're a connoisseur of beds/bedding (and I am) you'll find average quality here. Shower in Master is lacking in caddies and space/ledges to hold products, shave legs and such. +'s: Lots of space/light, direct door from master to deck, nice view, beautiful cabinets/wood, great puzzle drawer, sirius radio on flat screen, real candles.
Maintenance comments: Dishwasher kept running until we had to manually shut off, ice dispenser in the fridge readily clogs and spills ice everywhere every time its used. We utilized a chair from the deck to replace the a broken one from the dining set that was placed in the laundry room. These are all first world problems for sure, but when you're paying first world prices, maintenance issues aren't something you should have to work around. Happy traveling!"

"We enjoyed the cabin very much. Everything we needed for a relaxing family get together. Especially enjoyed the grill and all the amenities provided for grilling. For August, the weather was perfect and the nights were cool and comfortable sitting on the deck enjoying the river and watching the boats. Wish we would have had time to take the canoe out, but that is a nice amenity to enjoy. We would recommend staying here to anyone that is looking for some time away. You do have to travel on a gravel road to get there, but don't let that stop you from enjoying this cabin."
