"I was looking for a stopover place to stay on our drive from Texas to Nebraska to bury my mom's ashes when I found this fantastic and magical place. It turned our trip into a wonderful vacation as well, as we could see the Flint Hills, Great Prairies and enjoy the thrill of staying right next to an active train route! I had my 2 Brittany dogs and daughter and sister and we rented 2 of the 3 rooms. They were both lovely and had a full kitchen in each so we were able to cook our dinner and sit on the porch enjoying the lovely views. Plenty of room to let my dogs run and we only wished we could have stayed longer. I'd recommend this place especially to dog lovers who want to travel with their 4 legged family members. There are alot of trails that are also pet friendly in the Great Prairie National Preserve nearby. And it was fun sitting on the back porch feeling and watching the trains go by. That was a special treat!"

"After being together for 14 years, my husband and I decided that we needed to get away from everything and be by ourselves. Little did we know that we would be more in love when we left than when we got there. The cabin is nestled in an area surrounded by trees. Even though it is fall, it was still absolutely peaceful and beautiful. The cabin had everything we needed and then some. It was very clean and well maintained. Even though the cabin can sleep over 6 people, it was the perfect size for my husband and I. The owner is very nice and keeps in touch with you which is great. My husband and I will definitely be back once the weather warms up. Thank you again!!"

"My husband and I rented The Cottage for a week as a quiet, comfortable place to stay when our son returned from deployment. Perfect beyond words. The owners have done everything to insure renters are comfortable and have what is needed for a house stay. First, it was shiny and spotless when we arrived. The restoration and decor are lovely. The kitchen was well organized with plenty of everything for dining, serving, cooking, baking, and entertaining. It is convenient for walking to downtown and an easy drive for shopping and dining. Whether you want to stay inside and relax or use The Cottage as a hub for activities and entertaining, it is a most satisfactory place to stay."
