"We were very happy to stay at the Goddard Ranch in early May of 2015. We brought our entire families with us – 4 adults and 2 young children. The purpose was to hunt, but we found ourselves entertained in the beautiful West Cabin. Whether it was reading, playing board games, hiking, hunting or visiting on the front porch – we found plenty to do to enjoy a relaxing long weekend.
The owner drove a couple of us around the area pointing out the public land that we could hunt. It was great to get some “inside information” about the area. Thank you! We found the entire family to be quite friendly and would recommend the Goddard Ranch to others.
The property description was accurate and the cabin was very clean. We had clean linens and towels and a washer and dryer. The cabin also had some basic food available - pasta, coffee, sugar, flour..."

"This is a great historical house in a nice small town. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay in the Flint Hills. The house was exceptionally clean and much larger than expected. My wife and I had fun touring the back country roads and exploring the hills. The hosts gave us maps and information for exploring the area which we very much appreciated. They were super nice and fun to chat with. By the way, the trains that go by every once in a while are terrific, we really enjoyed them, and the house is so quiet you don’t even notice them, we slept great! Thanks for a wonderful visit!"

"I was looking for a stopover place to stay on our drive from Texas to Nebraska to bury my mom's ashes when I found this fantastic and magical place. It turned our trip into a wonderful vacation as well, as we could see the Flint Hills, Great Prairies and enjoy the thrill of staying right next to an active train route! I had my 2 Brittany dogs and daughter and sister and we rented 2 of the 3 rooms. They were both lovely and had a full kitchen in each so we were able to cook our dinner and sit on the porch enjoying the lovely views. Plenty of room to let my dogs run and we only wished we could have stayed longer. I'd recommend this place especially to dog lovers who want to travel with their 4 legged family members. There are alot of trails that are also pet friendly in the Great Prairie National Preserve nearby. And it was fun sitting on the back porch feeling and watching the trains go by. That was a special treat!"

"My mom, husband, daughter & I stayed here for a week. We have stayed at many vacation apartments before, and this was one of the best! Not only was it spotlessly clean, light and airy, but well organized too (the labeling and guest binder are quite helpful). From details like teapots and storage containers to shower gel and extra towels, the owners clearly thought of everything that weary travelers might need to feel comfortable. The BBQ on the deck was a bonus. Thank you!!"
