"This house was outstanding for our family. We were visiting our child at KU and we were just a short ride away from campus. The house was clean and comfortable. The view was amazing! We look forward to staying there again!!"

"My partner and I have been renting this cabin at least one weekend per month for the last 5 years for spiritual retreats. We love it! There's space, indoor and outdoor, for anything you can think of. We love the privacy. The cabin has always been cleaned prior to our arrival - the exterior is always neat and tidy. We are always blessed to see a variety of wildlife, deer, great horned owls, hawks, turtles, etc. Because the cabin is in the country and not lived in 24/7 we expect that periodically there will be maintenance and wildlife issues that come up. ANYTIME, we have ever had any issues, Rod is quick to take care of any maintenance issues. It is obvious that Rod loves the property and takes pride in how it looks. We use both, the main house and the bunkhouse every weekend that we rent the property. Our students love it! We may never leave Rod! Thanks for 5 wonderful years and many more to come!"

"What a beautiful, serene setting any time of year. Though I only stayed by myself, the lodge was large enough for multiple families. It was an excellent and relaxing getaway. I went for long walks in nature (an unusually warm day for Jan) and enjoyed the sunshine on the back porch. Saw deer, pheasant, horses, cattle and tons of birds. When it finally got cold I went indoors for the warmth of the fireplace."

"This beautifully restored house accommodated myself and 4 friends. It is tight quarters, but we were all comfortable and appreciated having a well maintained, relaxing house to hang out in when not running around town. Location can't be beat for heading downtown or to campus.
The one bathroom is actually very nice, and has a great shower. Seems like there may be a pretty large hot water tank, as we all took showers and did not run out of hot water in the least bit.
Highly recommend this house for a small group. We will absolutely rent again for future visits."
