  • Great location!

"Steven was a great host for our Kansas City adventure. He met us to check us in and provided additional information on places to see and restaurants to visit. The house was as-advertised. The neighborhood is a little sketchy but we didn't have any trouble and the house is at a quiet end of a cul-de-sac with well kept houses. The front porch offers a beautiful panoramic view of the Kansas City skyline which we thoroughly enjoyed with some beverages after a fun day in KC. Thanks again Steven!"

  • Family vacation

"It was just my husband, myself and our 2 yr old Thurs evening through Sunday. We love to go places we can relax but spend a good amount of time outdoors. The owner was very nice to let us have use of his row boat and kayak. We spent most of our time out on the water or swimming off the dock. Lake Wabunsee is a beautiful spring fed lake and feels like a small community. We will for sure be back, hopefully sooner than later!"

  • Family Adventure on the Ranch

"Imagine our surprise to find a rental half way across Kansas on our return trip from a ranch in Colorado. We were weary when we arrived, but upon entering the great room, one of our teenage grandsons said, "Oh, this is just the best house!" There was so much room for our family of 10. The kitchen had everything we needed for dinner. We celebrated a birthday and a retirement by watching a video, thankful for a DVD player and large screen TV. In the early morning with a cup of coffee, we were greeted on the front porch by a wild turkey and rabbit. The smell of the farm off the beaten path was something to treasure. Silence is golden!"

  • stopover vacation treat

"I was looking for a stopover place to stay on our drive from Texas to Nebraska to bury my mom's ashes when I found this fantastic and magical place. It turned our trip into a wonderful vacation as well, as we could see the Flint Hills, Great Prairies and enjoy the thrill of staying right next to an active train route! I had my 2 Brittany dogs and daughter and sister and we rented 2 of the 3 rooms. They were both lovely and had a full kitchen in each so we were able to cook our dinner and sit on the porch enjoying the lovely views. Plenty of room to let my dogs run and we only wished we could have stayed longer. I'd recommend this place especially to dog lovers who want to travel with their 4 legged family members. There are alot of trails that are also pet friendly in the Great Prairie National Preserve nearby. And it was fun sitting on the back porch feeling and watching the trains go by. That was a special treat!"
