"This was one of my most favorite places I've ever stayed in. The decor was so charming! The attention to detail in the decorating made me want to totally redecorate my own home! It has a super cozy feel and flow. The beds were great quality (and I even had a down comforter in my room)! The kitchen was fully stocked (pans, dishes, microwave, glasses, silverware, storage, stove, full sized, etc...)
There are train tracks directly behind the house, with several trains coming through frequently. The trains were not a nuisance to our group, and I actually enjoyed it.
We would 100% stay here again and recommend it highly to others."

"We came to Matfield Station to experience the Flint Hills and the nearby Pioneer Bluffs Fall Festival. All three -- the Station, the Flint Hills, and the Festival -- were extremely enjoyable. As far as accommodations, you couldn't do better than this fully equipped "casita" with everything provided except groceries. The rumble of the nearby trains was a fun addition (no horn blowing by these trains, as there's no crossroad nearby), and the walking paths to the south (all the way into town) were a neat adventure, too. We highly recommend Matfield Station."

"The house was darling. We had 5 ladies and there was plenty of room. The table was perfect for chatting, eating, and playing cards. The neighborhood was very quiet. We only heard trains occasionally. The property owner was very pleasant. Enjoyed the house very much. Will likely rent same spot next year."

"This is a lovely home with lots of room and very attractively decorated. It has been recently updated and the upstairs bathroom is huge! Three adults each had our own space, and the two young children enjoyed the yard, and especially the porch. It is a quiet street and we loved being able to walk to a very nice park and to get to Mass Street in just a few minutes. We found everything we could need in very logical places in the kitchen and had no trouble either getting into the house nor leaving things as requested. A nice place and we will remember it the next time we visit KU."
