"We chose this home for a family reunion of three couples plus a dog. We had a terrific experience. It is very convenient to many restaurants and activities. We were able to walk easily to Cincinnati and Newport. Lisa provided bagels, coffee, milk, cream cheese and even Graeters ice cream. The home is very roomy and we especially liked the rooftop - fireworks in all directions on the 4th. We brought chairs with us because of an earlier review but never took them out of the car - the folding chairs provided were just fine."

"First off, the photos shown do not do jutice to the amount space or view this property offers. Very Clean, Comfortable, and Charming. We really enjoyed the wrap around deck that faces the Ohio River-and the ceiling fans on the deck really kept the air flowing which is a plus. Also, the privacy is noce in that from the street, one cannot see around to where we gathered and enjoyed the deck and River view. The close proximity to what Owensboro has done with its downtown could not be better. Obviously, millions have been spent re-vamping this towns river front downtown area; which we enjoyed a great deal especially being so close to this River-House. The owner was very easy to work with, answering my many questions before we arrived and she refunded our deposit promptly-which is always appreciated. Next we are in Owensboro we look forward to booking again ."

"What can I say! We had such a great weekend. It's perfect if you need a place for a big family. There was plenty of room for eleven of us in the hill house! The 3rd room in the hill house has fans because the air doesn't quite make it cool enough, but it was very comfortable for the kids. It's a serene, peaceful it is perfect for family or couples. The college town is only about 10 minutes away. We went one night and had great pizza at a local place. Walmart was about 15 minutes away where we shopped for our groceries for the weekend. There is a General Dollar that is very close for anything you might have forgotten too. We spent a lot of time on the property, using the barn for a cook-out and the kids played with various outdoor toys. The boys walked to the pond and went fishing, ( it was a little farther than what we had expected ) but they said it was a great hike and the pond pictures are beautiful. The family provides, toilet paper, paper towels, dishwashing soap, and lots of misc. items that are already in the home. The Escobar family were more than accommodating, and even gave us FRESH brown eggs from their chickens for breakfast. It was a wonderful weekend for our family and we left with lots of memories and had lots of laughs. We would highly recommend to stay here."

"Very nice home on the lake, quite, peaceful. Great location for our 3 families to come together for a vacation.
House is in great shape with a fully equipped kitchen for cooking in. Could use some minor upgrades but a perfect vacation stay. We look forward to a return to Catfish Cove in the future."
