  • Family Vacation

"We had a wonderful time. The house is quite nice, roomy and perfect for a family. The pool was another big +. Kentucky Lake is spectacular. We also appreciated the owner's ability to help us rent a pontoon boat. The only thing to keep in mind... there are no laundry facilities. We've rented the house again in 2015."

  • Great Lake House for Relaxing Vacation

"My family and I really enjoyed our stay at the house, we were there for 10 days. It was nicely furnished like a home, definitely not your average fishing cabin, and had everything you could want in a lake house. Even wi-fi and cable with on-demand to keep the kids amused on rainy days. Plenty of room for a large group or family. Home is tucked away among the trees, felt like our little private spot. It was hot and humid in August, and we were thankful that the central air made the home a cool oasis on sticky hot days. We enjoyed grilling and watching lovely pink sunsets from the wraparound deck. Very peaceful and quiet, the lake is beautiful, dock fishing and tubing was lots of fun. The house is only a short drive to town, Sonic, Lake Barkley Resort and Marina (boat rentals, bait), Land Between the Lakes, and Kentucky Lake. We hiked, fished, had picnics, swam in the river, went to the Nature Center, Planetarium, even visited the Bison Prairie. Walmart was 30 mins away in Hopkinsville for stocking up. There's even an Indian restaurant and sports bar about 5 minutes drive from the house that Dave recommended, and the food was delicious. Any questions or issues we had, Dave was very responsive. Since it was our first time in KY, we took a day trip to Mammoth Cave National Park, about 2 hours 15 mins away, but totally worth it if you don't mind a long drive. Cave tours were awesome! Overall, our family had a great time and we'd definitely recommend."

  • Great Location

"We were in town for the PGA Championship, and this apartment was perfect for our needs at a price that could not be beat. The studio space was perfect for two. We cooked breakfast in the apartment one morning, and we walked to nearby restaurants or ate at the golf course otherwise. (We highly recommend Holy Grale for excellent beer and food!) The bed was comfy, the linens were clean, and the neighborhood was safe and well situated. The owner was also very accommodating. If we ever need to stay in Louisville again, we'll definitely be back. The only reason I don't give it a five star rating is because the accommodations aren't luxurious. If you're looking for comfortable, clean, and a great location though, this is your place."

  • Perfect!

"The perfect place to get away from it all! We so enjoyed our stay and fishing was good for us. We caught 3 trout off the boat ramp. Spent a lot of time on the back deck enjoying nature and all the critters. Definitely our go to spot now. Drove down to the ferry, it was the only day we left the property. We met Jo Ann when we arrived and she was very kind and helpful. Thanks for sharing your wonderful place."
