"We had a short vacation to Lake Barkley and stayed in a Cabin rented by John and Kim Morgan. There were 6 of us and the cabin was just right with my wife and I in the master bedroom, grandma in one bedroom, 1 kid in the other bedroom, and 1 kid on each of 2 sleeper sofas. The cabin is well furnished with everything one would need to stay a few days or a month. The kitchen is equiped with more items than our kitchen at home so all one needs to bring is their food and clothes. Spent a lot of time on the deck overlooking the lake and wooded area and saw deer and other wildlife every day. Unfortunately, it rained almost every day we were there so we didn't get to enjoy the lake as much as we would have liked but did get clear down to the main body of the lake and took a few swings on the rope swing which we were told about.
The dock was very nice and includes a ladder for getting back on if one was swimming. It was convenient to have the boat tied up as opposed to having to launch and load it every time we went to the lake. The walk down to the lake and dock is steep but a drive has been built so that one can drive down there and back. This is especially nice for people who are not a mobile as they once were.
John and Kim are very nice and accomodating. They work very hard to provide the best experience for your stay.
Only difficult part is the driveway/parking which is tight and sloped. We managed fine and the cabin we rented had a concrete pad to one side which was great for parking our boat trailer."

"Just returned from a weekend at Lisa's Kentucky Gem of a home. We were five adults looking for a fun weekend away, and this home and this area did not disappoint. The location is ideal-restaurants, bars, and even a small grocer are all in walking distance. The weather allowed us to get nearly everywhere on foot, but even if you weren't as lucky as we were with sunny days, you could easily make a short drive into Cinci or hop on the shuttle to get you where you need to go. The home is beautiful and spacious. Cozy enough that we all gathered in the common areas to socialize, but also found quiet nooks to read or work alone. The rooftop deck was a fun little spot to see the lights and sights of the city. Lisa is an attentive hostess who's attention to detail and welcoming amenities is second to none. She lives nearby so if you needed anything, she is readily willing and available to ensure your stay is 100% to your satisfaction. We are already talking about going back! You won't regret your decision to rent this home!"

"The condo was just as described and pictured on the website. We had a rental car so it was very nice to have the private off street parking, but we also walked to several places downtown and near UK campus. Wifi worked great. The location is very convenient to campus and many restaurants and the owner was prompt and helpful. We plan to stay here again when we visit our daughter at UK."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and accomadation at the Duke's lake house. The home had more than enough space, rooms and bathrooms that we never felt "on top of each other". We were a family of 7 adults, 2-4 year olds and 2 dogs. The home was clean, supplied with linens, and plenty of dishware etc. we certainly appreciated the dishwasher. One disappointment NO WiFi. Which we really rely to find our way. But every town has a visitor center they really assisted us in our adventures.
The path down to the lake was clear and easy to locate. We enjoyed fishing, wading in the water and just relaxing. It was awesome to see 3 male Bald Eagles flying above us, truly an unforgettable moment. At dark we walked down to the calisac to view the stars, Milky Way and of course shooting starts... Let's forget the satellites.
Mammoth Cave is only hour away worth the trip both under and aboveground.
We discovered the quilt patterns on the barns along our day trips, it became a game to see who spotted one first. Looking for good food Mama Lou's then check out Dennison's Market.
I would recommend to my friends.
Thank you for the great memories."
