"We had a short vacation to Lake Barkley and stayed in a Cabin rented by John and Kim Morgan. There were 6 of us and the cabin was just right with my wife and I in the master bedroom, grandma in one bedroom, 1 kid in the other bedroom, and 1 kid on each of 2 sleeper sofas. The cabin is well furnished with everything one would need to stay a few days or a month. The kitchen is equiped with more items than our kitchen at home so all one needs to bring is their food and clothes. Spent a lot of time on the deck overlooking the lake and wooded area and saw deer and other wildlife every day. Unfortunately, it rained almost every day we were there so we didn't get to enjoy the lake as much as we would have liked but did get clear down to the main body of the lake and took a few swings on the rope swing which we were told about.
The dock was very nice and includes a ladder for getting back on if one was swimming. It was convenient to have the boat tied up as opposed to having to launch and load it every time we went to the lake. The walk down to the lake and dock is steep but a drive has been built so that one can drive down there and back. This is especially nice for people who are not a mobile as they once were.
John and Kim are very nice and accomodating. They work very hard to provide the best experience for your stay.
Only difficult part is the driveway/parking which is tight and sloped. We managed fine and the cabin we rented had a concrete pad to one side which was great for parking our boat trailer."

"As a fellow veteran, I sought a place to get away and unwind before the stress of summer arrived. I stayed in the Fishin' Hole cabin and couldn't have asked for a more comfortable and well kept cabin. I brought my two small dogs and it was obvious that they were at home too. An added plus to my stay was that the small town of Cadiz was holding their annual Military Appreciation Spring Fling. I was welcomed and made to feel as if I was a part of their community. Jim and Jenn were wonderful host and talking about shared military experiences was a bonus."

"We used Alvy's Getaway for a family holiday vacation. It was a great place for this and the check-in was handled well. It is a classy place with a great kitchen, living area and bedrooms. The only complaint was the last generation television sets."

"Our trip was very enjoyable- staying in this beautiful home. Owners very helpful. We had 4 generations in this home - ages ranging from 17 months old to 86 yrs old. The main level was spacious for us to enjoy each others company. Wonderfully equipped kitchen where we prepared all our meals. The only drawback was the steep driveway & slanted concrete by the front porch- a little difficult for the elderly, who use a walker or cane."
