"Wow!! Thats all I could say after I walked into the house!! It's fabulous!! First, let me say this, Pat, who met us there to let us in is a dear!!! She even left us a little welcome gift of all the things we needed to make smores!! Very helpful!! My husband has a band," Dog House Kitchen", and they were invited to play at the Hot August Blues festival over at Kenlake State Park. It's a 3 hour ride for us from Louisville, so we decided to make a weekend of it and rent a home to stay in. Did we ever pick the right house!! There are bedrooms everywhere, even an amazing "kids" bunk room, complete with secret door!! Plenty of bathrooms. The screened in decks on the back of the house overlooking the lake are wonderful! There's more than enough tables and chairs ,porch swings, and rockers outside to seat everyone!! We spent most of our time there. There were 14 of there and not once did we feel crowded!! The house was exceptionally clean, very tidy, and very tastefully decorated. The kitchen!!! Oh my, it is a cooks dream!! We are a bunch of good cooks, and there was not one time we ever had to say "I wish they had this here!!" It's a very well stocked kitchen!! The newest addition to the house, The Hillbilly Shower!! was an instant hit!! Nothing like showering off outside in a very well made outside shower, complete with rain shower head. The driveway was awesome, plenty of parking spaces for all of us, and room to turn around!! This house is in the most serene setting, we all remarked at how quiet and peaceful it was . The fire pit was perfect...park benches all around, no one was left standing.. This by far is the best house we have ever rented..Thank you... And if the band gets down that way again, we will definitely be staying here again!!"

"We had a short vacation to Lake Barkley and stayed in a Cabin rented by John and Kim Morgan. There were 6 of us and the cabin was just right with my wife and I in the master bedroom, grandma in one bedroom, 1 kid in the other bedroom, and 1 kid on each of 2 sleeper sofas. The cabin is well furnished with everything one would need to stay a few days or a month. The kitchen is equiped with more items than our kitchen at home so all one needs to bring is their food and clothes. Spent a lot of time on the deck overlooking the lake and wooded area and saw deer and other wildlife every day. Unfortunately, it rained almost every day we were there so we didn't get to enjoy the lake as much as we would have liked but did get clear down to the main body of the lake and took a few swings on the rope swing which we were told about.
The dock was very nice and includes a ladder for getting back on if one was swimming. It was convenient to have the boat tied up as opposed to having to launch and load it every time we went to the lake. The walk down to the lake and dock is steep but a drive has been built so that one can drive down there and back. This is especially nice for people who are not a mobile as they once were.
John and Kim are very nice and accomodating. They work very hard to provide the best experience for your stay.
Only difficult part is the driveway/parking which is tight and sloped. We managed fine and the cabin we rented had a concrete pad to one side which was great for parking our boat trailer."

"This was our 1st time staying at Ky Lake. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at “Lakeview.” The accommodations were perfect for our family of 4. The view was gorgeous from the dining room and patio. We were able to drop-in at the public boat launch (5 min Jet Ski trip) on the other side of the Jonathan Creek Bridge and tie up our PWCs to the house dock for the week. Jonathan’s creek was the perfect spot to pull a tube, knee board and wake board. Very calm water compared to trips to Osage beach. We spent several hours floating next to the dock every night. The kids caught several fish right off of the dock."

"We loved our stay at this lake house. We were able to watch the lake barkley 4th of July Firework show from the upper deck. It was amazing! We spent quite a bit of time out on the boat, and having the boat dock there made it a breeze."
