  • Beautiful country home

"Large home with updated appliances. Well stocked kitchen. Master bedroom very comfortable, other beds not as good. So much better than a hotel stay. Easy drive into Lexington and to the surrounding areas. Good bbq place across the street. 3 night minimum, but still worth it to be able to have a kitchen. Wish we had more time there. It is a wonderful setting. I highly recommend this rental home. ."

  • Great Family Stay

"This is such a wonderful house. The minute we walked in the door and see the hard wood floors and stained glass windows, we fell in love. There was more than enough room for our five and enough little rooms and nooks that our kids could get a little alone time when needed. We were traveling to visit the Creation Museum...which is just a few minutes down the road. The only thing that you need to know is that the road going into the town is VERY curvy and there is a really tight hairpin turn with no shoulders on the side of the road and some big trucks that travel it. The proximity to the Cincinnati area of Ohio and also Indiana is great as well. There is also a nice town park just across the street. The kitchen was just the right size, and had a lot of the dishes that you need if you like to make your own meals when traveling. We are looking forward to coming back to the Cottage in a few years after the Ark Encounter is completed."

"This was our first time staying in this cabin, but we will definitely stay here again. I was pulling a large boat so I was very happy to see a wide turnaround right in front of the cabin, even thought it was very private at the end of the dead end road. Also VERY close to the Jamestown marina and ramp. The decorating was very tasteful and it was extremely clean. You can tell the owners take a lot of pride. We especially enjoyed the covered porch off of the den for coffee in the morning and drinks in the evening. Very nice view. The kitchen seemed to be very well equipped, even thought we ate most meals on the boat. We have 4 children ages 11-22 and I can say we were all very comfortable. MANY THANKS for an "awesome" getaway."

  • What a Gem!!!

"A wonderful spot for 7 longtime friends to gather and spend quality time together! A sweet home (the design of which, we ALL want for our future!) with plenty of room for 5 ladies to feel utterly comfortable in! The large dining table was a great gathering spot and since the weather was OUTSTANDING (Kentucky BLUE skies!) we were able to take advantage of sitting out on the deck as well! Many local shops and restaurants are within easy walking distance; one of our favorites was Some storage shelves in the kitchen pantry, and possibly some towel bars (rather than only hooks) in the bathrooms, would be recommendations from our group. Hope to stay again on any future visits to Lexington!"
