"It had been way too long for this close yet "far away getaway"! The cabin was a perfect place for us to spend some quality, uninterrupted time together reconnecting. The cabin is roomy with a good layout of kitchen/living area as we prepared our meals together. Our time there was very relaxing as we enjoyed the electric fireplace and the view of the lake was absolutely beautiful as the snow was falling! (Tim was great in accommodating our arrival time as snow was predicted!) We especially enjoyed the game started by a previous guest - "Where's George?" You have to go to find out!!! We would recommend this cabin for any type of group!"

"We had a group of 12 drive down to this lake house from Lexington (only a 2 hr drive) for my husband's 35th birthday. We stayed 2 nights here and it exceeded our expectations! The kitchen was great, very well equipped and the entire interior of the house was beautiful. The wrap around deck with the beautiful view of the lake was our favorite part. The hot tub on the deck and sound system (which played both indoors and outdoors) were both great surprises! The only thing that we weren't expecting was that 12 of the beds were bunk beds downstairs (3 sets of bunks in each of the downstairs rooms). Would be great for kids, although we did not have kids. Still, very nice to have that much sleeping room. We will most definitely be returning to this house for another weekend getaway."

"This was our first time staying in this cabin, but we will definitely stay here again.
I was pulling a large boat so I was very happy to see a wide turnaround right in front of the cabin, even thought it was very private at the end of the dead end road. Also VERY close to the Jamestown marina and ramp.
The decorating was very tasteful and it was extremely clean. You can tell the owners take a lot of pride.
We especially enjoyed the covered porch off of the den for coffee in the morning and drinks in the evening. Very nice view.
The kitchen seemed to be very well equipped, even thought we ate most meals on the boat.
We have 4 children ages 11-22 and I can say we were all very comfortable.
MANY THANKS for an "awesome" getaway."

"This was a spur of the moment decision to get away for just a couple of days with my elderly mother and 2 kids. Thankfully the owner was able to accommodate us on such short notice and the transaction went very smoothly. The view was awesome even though we did not get to spend to much time on the deck due to the weather being cold, windy, and rainy on that Friday and Saturday. We enjoyed the house with plenty of room. The kids stayed downstairs where there was tv/cable and a pool table and sleeping quarters downstairs also. So they spent pretty much all their time downstairs which gave my mother and I plenty of piece and quiet for a bit. Easy location to find and I made several trips into Somerset during our stay which was within 5 minutes up the road. I would highly recommend this location for a group or family. We hope to return sometimes in the Summer with hopefully better weather."
