  • Just the right spot. Just the right place.

"My adult daughter and I stayed at the cabin for a long weekend father-daughter trip. It was a short drive to both Natural Bridge and Red River Gorge for hiking, which we did plenty of. There is not much for supplies nearby, but hitting the next exit on the interstate got us groceries and supplies. The cabin seemed a bit small at first, but then it seemed just right. Back deck was nice for reading and listening to the rain and inside it was surprisingly warm and cozy. Sleep came easy. One thing that took us a while to catch was that the heater in the living room has a switch on the top/back of the right side of it, that turns it on. Once it turns on, it doesn't need to be on for long. It puts out plenty of heat and the cabin holds it well. We cooked several meals in the kitchen and had no trouble with what looked liked an old stove. We cooked both on the stove and in the oven and the food came out just fine. There is plenty of china and silverware. The small "dorm" sized fridge was the right size. The bathroomn is well done and interesting. Gave me some ideas for my own bathroom. Shower is plenty big and the is ample hot water and water pressure. I ended up folding out the couch for sleeping, though if more than one bed is needed, you might conside a blow-up one. Since there is no TV, which is a good thing, we ended up listening to the iPod, which was hooked in to a small amp, all weekend. There was a really good selection of good music on it. Some 6,000 songs. Just after we turned on to KY 77, we stopped for a load of firewood. There were 3 men selling dry wood and they were complete gentlemen. Did a nice job of loading wood in to the car and making sure we had ample kindling. Only issue was all the rain, which did not stop us from hiking, but did keep us from being able to make "Hobos" in the fire. Ended up making them in the oven, but it was not quite as much fun. Overall it was a great trip and we hated to leave. We got just what he hoped for out of the cabin."

  • Perfect location for relaxing getaway.....

"My husband and I just returned from a week stay at this lovely location. The view is incredible.. lush green trees, the mountains, the water and of course the sounds of nature are truly splendid. The privacy is wonderful, the home is complete with all the needed amenities to have a relaxing vacation. Nearby cities provide a variety of activites to please all ages and interests. We loved going to Cumberland Falls and purchasing some pottery from Junkyard Pottery. This beautiful home is large enough for different combinations of families, groups, reunions or get aways. There are areas large enough for many to gather and the front porch as well as the two decks in the back allow for smaller groups to gather to talk, read, or sit and enjoy the spectacular view. The owner has provided a modern and well equipped kitchen. Cell service is minimal but there is a landline available and the wifi worked perfectly. My kindle fire hd worked perfectly. It was nice to have a break from our cells and a short drive allowed for better cell service. We had such a wonderful time here and plan to return someday to experience the fall colors. This is truly a delightful place to vacation. We chose to relax but there are many options nearby to have an active, relaxed or both kind of vacation. We did not need to call the owner but it was nice to know that option was available if needed. The home is truly lovely and the floor plan is truly designed for comfort as well as function."

  • Danville visit

"Wife and I are looking at the Danville area for a possible relocation and decided to stay at Willow Springs Farm for a couple of nights. Can't say enough good things about Kathy and the property. Lovely grounds with more than enough room for two in the guest house. I would absolutely recommend staying on the property if visiting Centre College or just looking at the area like we were. Hope to be back soon!"

  • Great location in the downtown area

"The location of the condo was great. In the downtown area and reasonably close to campus. The condo had a very comfortable and home like feel. It is a great alternative to staying at a hotel"
