"Once inside this studio apartment, it is easier to forget what one goes through to get there. It was clean, well stocked with linens, cooling supplies etc. if you're looking for a place to return to on a daily basis, it is great. A little less desirable if you're simply looking to spend a few days hunkered down as a getaway. All in all a pleasant experience. I'm a heavy sleeper, so the sirens, train whistles, and jets approaching the nearby airport didn't affect me the same way they did my wife."

"We had a short vacation to Lake Barkley and stayed in a Cabin rented by John and Kim Morgan. There were 6 of us and the cabin was just right with my wife and I in the master bedroom, grandma in one bedroom, 1 kid in the other bedroom, and 1 kid on each of 2 sleeper sofas. The cabin is well furnished with everything one would need to stay a few days or a month. The kitchen is equiped with more items than our kitchen at home so all one needs to bring is their food and clothes. Spent a lot of time on the deck overlooking the lake and wooded area and saw deer and other wildlife every day. Unfortunately, it rained almost every day we were there so we didn't get to enjoy the lake as much as we would have liked but did get clear down to the main body of the lake and took a few swings on the rope swing which we were told about.
The dock was very nice and includes a ladder for getting back on if one was swimming. It was convenient to have the boat tied up as opposed to having to launch and load it every time we went to the lake. The walk down to the lake and dock is steep but a drive has been built so that one can drive down there and back. This is especially nice for people who are not a mobile as they once were.
John and Kim are very nice and accomodating. They work very hard to provide the best experience for your stay.
Only difficult part is the driveway/parking which is tight and sloped. We managed fine and the cabin we rented had a concrete pad to one side which was great for parking our boat trailer."

"Very cute cabin with very unique interior. I loved the old gas stove and the cast iron cook ware! Back porch and fire pit outside were also great.
The only complaint we have is that the cabin needed some cleaning. Some of the cook ware was not usable, because it was so grimey, and everything was very dusty. It's a great policy to have guests leave the place the way they found it, but you cannot solely rely on that."

"Had a great time fishing, swiming, sitting on the two story dock doing nothing other than sitting. Our boys went with us didn't have ping pong paddles for the ping pong table that was there the Oaks went and got some for them, Great sight seeing trip around the lake on their pontoon. For better pictures of the cabins and grounds use this link. http://www.oakharborky.com/ Already planning to be back next year."
