  • Relaxing lakefront

"Great cozy, quiet place all at a bargain price. Perfect for family with one, two or maaaaybe three pre-teen/adolescent kids. Maybe not ideal for people with toddlers. Here's why: Good workout going up and down stairs to the dock. The climb up and down the stairs was worth it. Fishing was a blast. Only minor complaint: 11 days to get deposit back. Even so, a comfortable, peaceful bargain of a getaway."

  • A True Home Away From Home

"My wife, newborn, and I were in the area for a family event and our expectations were exceeded with the stay in this wonderful property. The owner went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of, starting with great expediency in helping with our booking due to our unusual circumstances. The home is a delightful mix of history and restoration, and provided us with the perfect level of comfort, privacy, and space that we needed (especially with a newborn)! The centralized location was great for allowing us to get out of the house and walk to anything we needed, or to just enjoy the bustling city. The Carriage House is highly recommended, and simply offers many attributes of a home that just can not be found in a hotel."

  • Great Lake Cumberland Spot

"Myself and a close group of friends stayed at this property in August of 2014. We all had a great time! There are many great things about this property. I will offer up the highlights... The cabin... 1) It is large, much larger than the pictures make it look. Our group of 11 felt like we had tons of space. 2) It is a charm. The log cabin is beautiful, inside and out. Again, I felt like the pictures didn't quite do it justice. 3) The screened in porch is enormous and bug free. It rained one day during our visit and the porch was the perfect place to hang out. 4) From the kitchen, to the bathrooms, to the laundry room, everything is in great working order. The Property... 1) Isolated...but not too isolated. The cabin is tucked back from the street and there aren't many neighbors within 500 yards or so. The property has a private/secluded feel to it. 2) Lake Access...We had rented a pontoon boat from Conley Bottom for 5 days and parked it at the end of the hiking trail that exists on the property. For those of you that know Lake Cumberland, there aren't many properties that offer access to the lake. A 5 minute hike put you right on the water. The Owner... 1) Very friendly and offered up a ton of good advice (where to go, what to do, places to shop, etc.) 2) Always replied to phone calls/e-mails very quickly (within 24 hours). 3) You could tell that she cared about your stay. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who is seeking a Lake Cumberland vacation."

  • Another Excellent Stay!

"We stayed in Pleasantview House for the second time last weekend for Fall Stars Opening of Keeneland. Once again, the owners George and Ann had the house in tip-top shape, and this is SUCH a lovely vacation home. My son, (who is 30 yrs old) still gets excited about the home baked cookies that greet us upon arrival. Every aspect of this home is a delight, and so relaxing. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this house! We will be back again and again, and again.... You can't go wrong with renting this home. So close to Keeneland, Horse Farms, and any major shopping. I never want to leave!"
