  • Nice getaway!

"The house is secluded and peaceful. We had almost everything we needed already there. Other than a closed up smell when we arrived, it was close to perfect for what we were looking for. The road and driveway are a bit tricky when pulling a pontoon boat (narrow, winding, and no place to turn around till the end), but the truck driver in the family had no problem with it. Overall, it was a very pleasant vacation. We spent time boating and jet skiing out on the lake, cooking, and just resting. I wouldn't describe this as handicap accessible or toddler friendly, but it's great for older kids and people who are able to manage steps and walk up and down hill."

  • Great Location

"We were in town for the PGA Championship, and this apartment was perfect for our needs at a price that could not be beat. The studio space was perfect for two. We cooked breakfast in the apartment one morning, and we walked to nearby restaurants or ate at the golf course otherwise. (We highly recommend Holy Grale for excellent beer and food!) The bed was comfy, the linens were clean, and the neighborhood was safe and well situated. The owner was also very accommodating. If we ever need to stay in Louisville again, we'll definitely be back. The only reason I don't give it a five star rating is because the accommodations aren't luxurious. If you're looking for comfortable, clean, and a great location though, this is your place."

  • Winner!

"We rented this property for the 2014 Derby/Oaks. We were very impressed with how much thought the super attentive owner put into our stay. The owner 1) had Derby/Oaks inspired fresh flowers in the property, 2) had Mint Julep ingredients waiting for us upon arrival, 3) had the house cleaned TWICE during our stay (for the record- it was extremely clean anyway), 4) shopped for us in advance so the house had food and beverages waiting for us, and 5) encouraged us to make restaurant recommendations early enough to beat the Derby rush. We can affirm what others have noted that during Derby week it is loud at night. We would NOT hesitate to stay at this property again. Great spots to eat: Jack Fry's, Harvest, Decca and Rye."

  • Definitely Coming Back

"Normally I write reviews to encourage people to use the same product. In this case I would rather keep this place a secret to myself, but in all fairness to the owner I will let everyone know how great our stay was. The pictures for this property really do not do it justice. The house was very well furnished and it was very well stocked. Everything was clean and well kept as you would expect with a newer home. I worried about the location but it was an easy drive to Alligator I and II. We decided to go a little further to launch at State Dock (count cows and Dollar Generals on your way there and the drive flies by). The two decks and living rooms were great. If bugs bother you the lower deck is screened. We enjoyed the upper deck and nice views. Overall we had two families and we both agreed that it was an awesome house and we will look this one up for our return trip. Here are my little tips: I use Verizon for my cell phone and lost service on the way there, so print off your directions before you leave. If you are coming from the north be careful of the turn by the little white church (it's about 10 minutes away), the road you turn left on is hidden behind some trees and my friend took a long trip down the wrong road. Finally, plan to stay longer than you expect...If my kids didn't have to start school we would have stayed on for a full week. The owner: He was very responsive to my calls with questions, gave very clear instructions, knows what he is doing when it comes to stocking a rental and he quickly refunded our security deposit. Cons: In all fairness the only thing I would complain about is the lack of wifi. the cable was nice and my phone worked as a Verizon hotspot. Oh well, not a deal breaker. Thanks again and we hope to see it again next year!"
