  • First time Chicago visit

"We arrived after dark and the unit was all lit up for our arrival. We could tell in the dark that the neighborhood was family friendly. After dropping our bags off we headed out to eat. We walked two maybe three blocks to a very yummy Italian restaurant that took our party of 8 right in.Everything you need is in walking distance( the train , shops, restaurants, ATM,bars and even a church we walked too. We enjoyed the location very much,we were in Roscoe Village. I gotta say download uber( cabs) so fast better than the train. Our unit had 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms , kitchen, yard, living area. The unit isn't big but it was very comfortable for 8.Everything we needed was in the unit. The unit was updated with modern bathrooms and comfy beds with nice down comforters.I would recommend this to family and friends and since we only had limited time due to wedding events we are planning a trip back next year to sight see.Thank you Roscoe Village Staff for a very clean and welcoming stay!!!!"

  • Absolutely Beautiful!!

"We stayed at this gorgeous home at the beginning of October. When we first stepped into the house, we quickly realized the pictures don't do it justice! This house was more beautiful than we imagined!! It was a very spacious house too! The master bedroom is HUGE!! The biggest I have ever seen! Not to mention a dream walk in closet! haha We held our small wedding at the house and some of the girls ended up using the closet as a dressing room! lol The outside area was perfect. 2 waterfalls, a pool, and a hot tub! The patio is nice and big and very good for small get-togethers! All of our guests who stayed over night with us were very pleased with their rooms! I was a little bummed at first when we found out we couldn't use the whirlpool tub in the master bath because a part was missing but we didn't have time for it anyway lol. I would absolutely recommend this house! I actually got a little teary-eyed when we had to leave!"

  • Wonderful property and owners

"We rented this property over a weekend for our wedding. Not only is this place amazingly beautiful, but it was affordable and the owners were incredibly accommodating and gracious. They let us visit the rental multiple times before the big day, made sure the property was in perfect shape, and let us do exactly what we wanted. We had about 125 guests who could easily be seated with a dance floor in the covered patio. We could play music all night long and even had multiple people camping on the property. All of our guests were incredibly impressed and it made for the best wedding weekend we could ever imagine."

  • Yurt rental

"We had a lovely time in this homey yurt. We have thought about buying one and also a compost toilet, so this experience was valuable. We really loved both. There are four beds to sleep 8, plus a couch and a recliner which can sleep 2 more....not to mention sleeping bags for the floor if you need more. Kitchen was great. Equipped with all cooking needs. Just bring your food! 2 refrig, 2 micro. Living room has large tv, radio, lots of lighting. Deck is pure delight. Area offers lots of water, beaches, streams, local waterfall, many National parks, a wonderful nursery. Highly recommend. Will be back many times."

Getting to Lake Erie

Lake Erie is the southernmost of the Great Lakes. Its shoreline includes the states of New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Michigan in the United States as well as the north shore which is in Ontario, Canada. The three major cities on Lake Erie are Buffalo in New York, Cleveland in Ohio, and Detroit Michigan. Detroit has the largest and busiest airport and is the main access point for the western shore. Detroit also provides easy access to the Canadian side of the lake through the neighboring city of Windsor. If traveling by road, there is a good network of roads along the lakeshore, providing easy access to vacation homes on Lake Eerie. If staying on the northeastern shoreline of Lake Erie, you may consider flying into Toronto and then getting a domestic connection on to the town of London. For travelers from the United States, the best access point on the northeastern side is the city of Buffalo, located near Niagara Falls. Cleveland Airport provides good access to Lake Erie's southern shoreline.
