  • Comfort and beauty!

"So enjoyed my relaxing two week stay in this lovely, comfortable home! The mountain views are wonderful. Geese, rabbits, quail, hummingbirds all right outside your windows. Balloons landing on or taking off from the golf course practically in your back yard. Easy freeway access to everything you would want to see or do."

  • Awesome Ski Week!!!

"This rental property was exactly what we were looking for. The location is perfect, a 20 second ski to Iron Horse lift. The home was clean, and very nice inside. We could not have asked for a better place to spend our ski week at Moonlight Basin and Big Sky Resort. We will be back to this rental for sure!"

  • Great location / excellent base for a family holiday.

"We chose this property after searching a huge number of holiday rental sites in the area, our main criteria was proximity to beaches, and a child friendly environment. The property is not cluttered with uneccessary ornaments and decorations. It is nicley furnished, comfortable and has a distinctly relaxing vibe. There are two decks allowing outdoor living which ever way the wind may be coming from. A good selection of outdoor furniture and shade from large market umbrellas enhance these o/door spaces. Both the owner and property manager were very helpful and we appreciated the thoughtful touches that Karen organised for us. The small children in our family were catered for with a pack & go crib, and a fully fenced property to run around and let off steam! We would recommend this property without hesitation. Santa Cruz/Capitola are packed full of things to do for adults and children - the greater area has a wealth of activities and sights within a day trip including a fabulous aquarium at Monterey, and whale watching from the beach if a cruise is not your thing, truly awsome to see."

  • Snowbird rental

"We stayed in this Bungalo from Jan 18 to March 28. Clean, nicely decorated, comfortable. Dave and Jalayne have been super to deal with. We have actually booked this unit again next year. Golf cart makes it easy to get around resort, go to grocery store and shops. Great rental!"

Favorite Seasons to Visit Lake Erie Vacation Rentals

For families and people who want to enjoy water sports, the summer months are the best time of year to visit. From May through September, the lake experiences warm summer temperatures which make it ideal time of year for swimming, boating, waterskiing and sailing. During school summer vacation periods, the lakeshore can get very busy as families choose to spend their summer vacations on the lake. The busiest season is typically June and July. For those who want to enjoy the quiet serenity of Lake Erie, it is recommended that you rather travel in the spring season which is during April and May or the fall season which is September and October. During the winter months, the lake is transformed into a winter wonderland. Areas of the lake frequently freeze over and the shoreline is blanketed in thick snow. This season is ideal for those who enjoy ice fishing, snowmobiling or cross country skiing.

Getting to Lake Erie

Lake Erie is the southernmost of the Great Lakes. Its shoreline includes the states of New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Michigan in the United States as well as the north shore which is in Ontario, Canada. The three major cities on Lake Erie are Buffalo in New York, Cleveland in Ohio, and Detroit Michigan. Detroit has the largest and busiest airport and is the main access point for the western shore. Detroit also provides easy access to the Canadian side of the lake through the neighboring city of Windsor. If traveling by road, there is a good network of roads along the lakeshore, providing easy access to vacation homes on Lake Eerie. If staying on the northeastern shoreline of Lake Erie, you may consider flying into Toronto and then getting a domestic connection on to the town of London. For travelers from the United States, the best access point on the northeastern side is the city of Buffalo, located near Niagara Falls. Cleveland Airport provides good access to Lake Erie's southern shoreline.
