"Wow what a great place to stay! ! My friends and I were so happy to find this rental. Very peaceful and not far from many great things to do in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Thank you for sharing this with us. Hope to be back next year"

  • Warm, comfortable and well-equipped

"Our family spent 3 nights, celebrating a graduation from Western State and we loved our stay. The home was even roomier than we expected and a perfect place to gather, prepare meals and host a cookout and party. The kitchen is beautiful and nicely equipped, bedrooms roomy, and backyard private. We especially appreciated the propane grill! The owner is very responsive and helpful, even allowing us to take a peek at the property the previous week while we were passing through Gunnison."

  • Great Condo for Squaw!

"I recently stayed at this Condo in Tahoe and it was Great! The condo was so close to Squaw Village which made it so easy to wake up in the morning and go for a nice morning walk into the Village for a coffee and some breakfast, which is what we enjoy doing when we are on vacation. However, the condo was fully equiped with everything we would have needed if we would have chose to cook. The owner was very easy to work with and very organized which made the trip stress free and relaxing! We really enjoyed staying for the weekend and would definitley stay here again!"

  • The perfect place to relax

"We spent a great week in Harvey Cedars and recently returned from our vacation. We loved this property and the location. It is a very family, friendly area and felt very safe. Our younger teens walked to the beach each day and restaurants and other activities are a short drive away. A market with a great deli is less than a mile away. Our family enjoyed exploring the neighborhoods around the bay on long walks and hanging out at the nearby parks. The owners are great to work with and thought of EVERY detail: band aids, basic spices, detergent for the washing machine, beach chairs, badges, umbrella, beach cart...it was nice not to have to pack everything or purchase these items on the island. The unit is laid out very nicely, is bright and open and immaculate. Nice big screen TV (we caught the world cup games each day) and there is a wonderful sound system wired into main rooms and onto the deck, can play tunes from your phone. We cannot say enough good things about this property and the owners. Thank you for a wonderful vacation!"

Favorite Seasons to Visit Lake Erie Vacation Rentals

For families and people who want to enjoy water sports, the summer months are the best time of year to visit. From May through September, the lake experiences warm summer temperatures which make it ideal time of year for swimming, boating, waterskiing and sailing. During school summer vacation periods, the lakeshore can get very busy as families choose to spend their summer vacations on the lake. The busiest season is typically June and July. For those who want to enjoy the quiet serenity of Lake Erie, it is recommended that you rather travel in the spring season which is during April and May or the fall season which is September and October. During the winter months, the lake is transformed into a winter wonderland. Areas of the lake frequently freeze over and the shoreline is blanketed in thick snow. This season is ideal for those who enjoy ice fishing, snowmobiling or cross country skiing.

Picnic areas are great places to enjoy some fun games with other families. During the summer season, there are frequently festivals and events that provide further fun and entertainment for the family. Lake Erie is also a destination where couples can go to enjoy a romantic getaway or some quiet relaxation. Many homes have stunning views out over the lake. Getting to Lake Erie

Lake Erie is the southernmost of the Great Lakes. Its shoreline includes the states of New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Michigan in the United States as well as the north shore which is in Ontario, Canada. The three major cities on Lake Erie are Buffalo in New York, Cleveland in Ohio, and Detroit Michigan. Detroit has the largest and busiest airport and is the main access point for the western shore. Detroit also provides easy access to the Canadian side of the lake through the neighboring city of Windsor. If traveling by road, there is a good network of roads along the lakeshore, providing easy access to vacation homes on Lake Eerie. If staying on the northeastern shoreline of Lake Erie, you may consider flying into Toronto and then getting a domestic connection on to the town of London. For travelers from the United States, the best access point on the northeastern side is the city of Buffalo, located near Niagara Falls. Cleveland Airport provides good access to Lake Erie's southern shoreline.
