"Condo exactly as described and comfortable. Overall clean and well kept inside and out and very quiet. Some people have complained about the noise of the air conditioning but it was not a problem for us. The location and view were perfect and easy access to the beach with the walkway right next door. Even though it is on the second floor it was easy to climb with a landing between each flight. It is supplied with everything you would need to cook a meal. There were pots and pans of different sizes, wooden spoons, spatulas, even a garlic press. The instruction were simple and to the point. There was a caddy out with maps, restaurant menus, maps and things to do see Also a nice selection of paperbacks and magazines to enjoy. The only con was there was no ice in the freezer (someone had left the arm up) and we had just arrived about 6:30 and was looking forward to a cold drink any enjoy a spectacular sunset. Perhaps instructions can be left to leave ice or the arm down to insure there is ice for the next person. Judy was very prompt in responding to questions, etc and returning our deposit. I had been to Carolina Beach as a child and had forgotten how beautiful and natural the beaches are. Definitely will be back and hope to enjoy the condo again."

  • 1st family vacation

"Our children are all young adults which is difficult to get all together. We decided to try to rent a house where we all could stay with lots of stuff to do. It was a wonderful success. The weather was perfect so we spent lots of time in the lake. But the large kitchen gave me the enjoyment of watching my children dance and cook a meal for me and my husband. Thank you Wooleys"

Getting to Lake Erie

Lake Erie is the southernmost of the Great Lakes. Its shoreline includes the states of New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Michigan in the United States as well as the north shore which is in Ontario, Canada. The three major cities on Lake Erie are Buffalo in New York, Cleveland in Ohio, and Detroit Michigan. Detroit has the largest and busiest airport and is the main access point for the western shore. Detroit also provides easy access to the Canadian side of the lake through the neighboring city of Windsor. If traveling by road, there is a good network of roads along the lakeshore, providing easy access to vacation homes on Lake Eerie. If staying on the northeastern shoreline of Lake Erie, you may consider flying into Toronto and then getting a domestic connection on to the town of London. For travelers from the United States, the best access point on the northeastern side is the city of Buffalo, located near Niagara Falls. Cleveland Airport provides good access to Lake Erie's southern shoreline.
