  • Just a Perfect Home

"The Todd's home is absolutely ideal. It's peaceful, it's well furnished with everything you could possibly think of that you might need for your excursions and it's fresh and new. The location is great because you can head either one way to get to the park or another way to get to the park and there are different experiences either option. The house was just wonderful and an ideal situation for families, for couples, and those who respect a property with all the right amenities to make their vacation just right!"

  • Heaven on Earth

"My husband and I stayed 11 nights in the Jungle Cottage early February 2014. All that really needs to be said is: it is a little piece of paradise! We stayed in a couple of other hotel/B&B as well during our stay on the Big Island, and none of them, nor other places we looked into staying at, remotely compared to the accommodation at Bwana Bob. The cottages there are surrounded by lush vegetation and have a beautiful ocean view; it is extremely peaceful and one feels far away from civilization and lost in the jungle yet Kona is just a few miles away. "Our" Jungle Cottage was so cozy and so romantic, very clean - there could not have been a more perfect place to spend our honeymoon! Upon check-in, I was amazed to find absolutely everything we needed: a kitchen stocked with all the essentials, soaps and shampoos, bath and beach towels, beach mats, folding chairs, snorkeling gear, ice cooler, and yes, even an umbrella! Not to mention a pound of the delicious Bwana Bob coffee, and fresh fruit including the sweetest pineapple! In the cottage there is also a TV, DVDs, videos, magazines, guides, maps - and the list goes on. The highlight of my stay at the Jungle Cottage was being able to pick fruit from the fruit trees in the garden: nothing like starting your day with juice from freshly picked oranges or juicy mangoes and fleshy bananas! Our hosts were absolutely wonderful! They are so friendly and bent over backwards to make our stay as fantastic as possible. We witnessed the coffee roasting process. Well, you haven't lived until you have seen Steve's Roast O Rama and the place where he does it! Fascinating! I could have spent hours in his workshop studying all the machines and robots and gadgets and tackle and apparatuses and equipment! Something to tell your grandchildren about, lol! That coffee roasting process if a must-see, so is Bwana Bob's accommodation! I highly recommend it to anyone spending any time at all on the Big Island! And should I go back to Hawaii, this is definitely where I will want to stay! Thank you Susan and Steve, for sharing your paradise with us!"

  • Great Views and space

"We went and spent a week at this condo. The condo was great. The views can't be beat from the balcony. The wifi at the condo was a hit/miss. The only thing you should be prepared for is the elevators are very slow. Easy check in and out."

Getting to Lake Erie

Lake Erie is the southernmost of the Great Lakes. Its shoreline includes the states of New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Michigan in the United States as well as the north shore which is in Ontario, Canada. The three major cities on Lake Erie are Buffalo in New York, Cleveland in Ohio, and Detroit Michigan. Detroit has the largest and busiest airport and is the main access point for the western shore. Detroit also provides easy access to the Canadian side of the lake through the neighboring city of Windsor. If traveling by road, there is a good network of roads along the lakeshore, providing easy access to vacation homes on Lake Eerie. If staying on the northeastern shoreline of Lake Erie, you may consider flying into Toronto and then getting a domestic connection on to the town of London.
