  • Location, location, location!!!

"My husband, sister, brother-in-law and I enjoyed 5 days in charleston. The condo was clean & well equipped. The location is central to everything. It is within walking distance of most things. The owner was very helpful. It is a beautiful condo. We will stay there again. Parking for two vehicles was one of best features. Owners notes were very helpful."

  • Wonderful Last Minute Accomodation

"Our family had booked several locations using the Home Away website for a 4th of July weekend and last minute both of the properties cancelled on us without any notice or explanation. Needless to say we were incredibly frustrated! We had looked at this property in the beginning but decided initially not to go with it as we wanted something right on Main Street in Old Park City. The day before, upon the other property canceling, I contacted Martin to see if his property was still available. I have to say not only was he responsive, but he was so incredibly friendly and accommodating. He gave us clear instructions on how to check in, and everything was exactly as the listing had said. We have 6 children all under the age of 10, and they enjoyed playing with the toys provided, the xbox, and all of the movies on hand. I truly felt at home with all of the added extras provided. One of my favorite things about this location was the fact that all 3 bedrooms are on separate floors allowing for a lot of privacy, and a great place for two separate families to stay. The layout of the home was perfect for us and it was close enough to town and the free shuttle that we didn't have to worry about driving and parking during a very busy weekend. We will be staying at this property again because of the way we were treated and Martin's fine attention to the little details that made our trip so much easier and so much more enjoyable."

  • Great Location!!

"We stayed in the Nanrucket House for 3 weeks and it met all of our needs! The home was well stocked, clean and comfortable!!! My niece and nephew came to visit and loved the top floor bunk room! Renting from Jeff was wonderful ..he was very accommodating and if we needed anything his staff was there ASAP! The location of the house is perfect! Right across the street from the beach and walking distance to shops and restaurants. We would definitely rent from Sugar Palm Vacation rentals again!"

  • Amazing

"If it's even possible, the villa and the beach look even better in person than the pictures. It was absolutely gorgeous. We have nothing but good things to say about the villa and its owners (And Louie, who helped us out tremendously). The view of the ocean from the balcony is amazing. It is in the perfect location view and noise-wise. We stayed for a week while we visited for our wedding and everyone was impressed when they saw it. The property was clean and well maintained. My 6 year old son loved that he had the option to bunk with grandma or have the comfy couch to himself. The beach cove is perfect for children to play in and there were beach toys provided. There were plenty of stores and food options nearby, which was perfect since dinner was always a last minute plan. I'd recommend this villa to anyone."

Getting to Lake Erie

Lake Erie is the southernmost of the Great Lakes. Its shoreline includes the states of New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Michigan in the United States as well as the north shore which is in Ontario, Canada. The three major cities on Lake Erie are Buffalo in New York, Cleveland in Ohio, and Detroit Michigan. Detroit has the largest and busiest airport and is the main access point for the western shore. Detroit also provides easy access to the Canadian side of the lake through the neighboring city of Windsor. If traveling by road, there is a good network of roads along the lakeshore, providing easy access to vacation homes on Lake Eerie. If staying on the northeastern shoreline of Lake Erie, you may consider flying into Toronto and then getting a domestic connection on to the town of London. For travelers from the United States, the best access point on the northeastern side is the city of Buffalo, located near Niagara Falls. Cleveland Airport provides good access to Lake Erie's southern shoreline.
