The Detroit Metro Airport hosts most commercial airlines from North America on regularly scheduled flights. Travelers from Europe and other parts of the world can route via Chicago or New York City before getting a connection to Detroit. There is a smaller regional airport at Bay City which provides access to Saginaw Bay on Lake Huron. There are rail connections but possibly the best way to get to your destination is by car. If you are not from the Detroit or Michigan area, you can hire a car upon arrival at the airport.
