  • A Wonderful Week

"We were so lucky to rent this beautiful condo from this very attentive owner. We could not have asked for a better experience. Everything was as it was advertised (maybe even better). We certainly will be back - maybe with extended family - and would not hesitate to rent from this owner again. Thank you for a wonderful week."

  • Incredible Properties and Wonderful Management

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I held a sea kayaking symposium in Trinidad and rented five properties (including this one) from Redwood Coast Vacation Rentals for my coaching staff. All five properties were incredible. I was very impressed with Redwood Coast Rentals. I told Mike how many beds I'd need (the number changed a couple of times), and they did all of the logistical work, setting up five rentals for a very affordable price. Not only was I impressed with the properties, but the entire coaching staff was as well. I'll be recommending Redwood Coast Rentals to friends and family, as well as using them for future events."

  • Awesome choice for Estes Park

"We absolutely loved the Trail Ridge cabin. It is just the right blend of comfort, cozy and clean with outstanding views. You will not want to leave the living room with the view of beautiful Longs Peak to look at all day out your window! But you will because it is so convenient to everything. RMNP is less than a mile away and the town of Estes Park is not more than 10 minutes. Yet you are miles away from all the hustle and bustle and situated on a quiet hillside. The bedding was so comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed to make breakfast and dinners and the cabin. Entertainment was had daily at breakfast from a pair of chipmunks on the porch. TV and Wi-Fi worked great. Don't hesitate to stay here. You will love it!"

  • Wonderful condo, amazing views close to everything

"We were lucky enough to come to Lahaina for the weekend. This condo afforded us a beautiful view, the sound of crashing waves, a refreshing good temperature pool and proximity to wonderful restaurants, supermarkets and shopping. The bedroom is in the back of the condo, but you can hear the ocean waves crashing. At night, there is sound from the street, but we found it wasn't disturbing to us at all. The property doesn't appear to be anything spectacular, but the comfort of the condo and the lovely pool next to the ocean makes the place really lovely. Thank you Hedy!"

Lake Huron Area Travel Tips

Over 3,800 Miles of Stunning Scenery at Lake Huron Vacation Rentals

One of the five Great Lakes and the second largest, Lake Huron is partially in the state of Michigan in the United States and partially in the province of Ontario, Canada. It is also the world’s fifth largest freshwater lake. Its name comes from early French explorers who based it on the name of the original inhabitant of the area. With its 30,000 islands, Lake Huron has the longest shoreline of any of the Great Lakes at over 3,800 miles. With excellent airport links and roads, including major interstate and state highways, the area surrounding the lake is easily accessible. The weather here makes for perfect warm summer vacations or all the fun of a snowy winter wonderland.

Fabulous Fishing and Much More at Lake Huron Cottages

One of the most popular activities around here is, of course, fishing. Wherever visitors to Lake Huron cabins choose as a vacation base, they will find they are close to the lake, with marinas, launching areas, docking facilities and boat charters available. With its many bays and quiet cove areas, it is an ideal place for sailing as well as fishing. The lake is kept well stocked with a wide variety of native species. Those looking to spend some time fishing from the shore or by boat will be rewarded with a species such as a variety of trout, including brown and rainbow, Coho Salmon, herring, pike, bass, and perch. Die-hard fishermen may even want to try ice fishing in winter here. Of course, it is not just about the fishing, with many opportunities to enjoy kayaking, boating, sailing, swimming and diving.

All around the lake are hiking trails for summer that become cross country skiing and snowshoeing areas during the winter months. Visitors will find trails to suit beginners or advanced hikers and skiers. Many areas also provide great spelunking (caving) opportunities for the more adventurous. There are also many biking trails here, as well as wonderful opportunities to get out into the forest areas around the lake on horseback. For a real bird’s eye view of the lake in its entire splendor, try a helicopter tour. For the romantics, perhaps a winter sleigh ride would be the perfect day out.

Choose Michigan or Canada

As great as the great outdoors is, it is nice to have something to look forward to in the evenings, and visitors to Lake Huron vacation rentals will find they are well taken care of in this regard. With a choice of so many towns dotted around the lake, either in Michigan or over the border in Canada, there are plenty of options for those who like an active nightlife. These towns know how to take care of their guests, and visitors will find a wide variety of taverns, pubs and nightclubs offering good food, great company and dancing to a wide variety of music.

Lake Huron Cabins With Docks and a Welcome for the Dog

Pick from Lake Huron cottages in areas such as Cedarville or Drummond Island on Michigan’s Upper Peninsula; Alpena and Caseville in Lower Michigan or Canadian resorts such as Grand Bend, Southampton or Wasaga Beach are among the huge variety of towns to base your vacation. Most come with views of the lakes and many will be just steps from the shoreline. Whichever town is most suited to your vacation, one thing is certain--the home you choose as your base will be a great one. Homes come in a variety of sizes, from small and cozy to large and spacious, and each will be equipped with everything needed and more. Find homes with log furnishings, indoor Jacuzzis or outdoor hot tubs, pool tables, big screen TVs, docks, or even boats! The owners think of everything, and many even welcome the dog!
