  • Magical Home!

"We had a wonderful family vacation in Brisaymar. We have 2 adult sons and a teenage daughter and we all loved the house, the location, kayak, pool, lovely beach and wonderful attention by Eugenia. We also had someone come to cook for us and it was perfect! Eugenia is very attentive to details and the house was set in a very intentional way. She was always available to help with any or our needs. We would highly recommend this house and location to others. Thank you very much, Eugenia, for a perfect vacation!"

  • A Perfect Introduction to the Island

"The house was beautiful and had every amenity, from helpful books and brochures to convenient laundry facilities. The rooms were airy and spacious and the bedrooms and bathrooms afforded maximum privacy, much appreciated by our teenage daughters. The quiet, secluded location gave us the feeling of a luxurious retreat, yet the towns of Vineyard Haven and Oak Bluffs were just a short drive away. Our first night we took the property's boats out and had a blast. One of our daughters told us afterward that was her favorite part of the trip. We didn't fill the bird feeder but enjoyed the curious catbirds, which kept coming close to perch on the porch rails, as well as ducks, kingfishers, and a great-crested flycatcher! The house was the perfect retreat with gorgeous views of the pond, and a warm and cozy atmosphere. We enjoyed the well-stocked books shelves and greatly admired the paintings by the owner's father. The owner was in touch with us with helpful information before our vaction, and followed up with an email afterward to check in. The caretaker came out and introduced himself the first evening, offering to be a resource for us and to help with anything we might need. We couldn't have asked for a better introduction to the island."

  • An Amazing House

"We have just returned from 2 wonderful weeks at this lovely property which exceeded our expectations. We wanted a large house to accommodate our family from Toronto and for entertaining relatives in England. The house was spotless, spacious, extremely comfortable and contained everything one could possibly need. The large kitchen was sunny, bright and cosy and amazingly well equipped and we loved cooking with the Aga. The large garden and courtyard provided lots of exciting space for our young grandchilden to play and the views towards the Downs are spectacular with horses grazing in the fields. The charming town of Steyning is only about a 10 minute walk away. There is a longer walk to Steyning through the woods and fields by the edge of the Downs which we enjoyed very much and was used many times by our joggers. The owner and his staff were always very helpful and responded immediately to any questions, making the whole experience trouble free and relaxed. We had a very memorable vacation at Beech Hanger and would recommend this property without hesitation."

  • Excellent weekend!

"The Lucky Beach House was fantastic this weekend! Access to the casinos and everything else in Atlantic City was a simple cab ride away. Steve, the owner, was extremely easy to contact and responded very promptly. I will definitely be staying again! The only downside was there was only the most basic cable package. We were a little disappointed we couldn't catch any of the football games this weekend, but with all the entertainment options less than 10 mins away, it didn't really matter. HIGHLY recommend staying at The Lucky Beach House!"
