Wonderful place to experience the palpable style of New Orleans, with great taste.
"The Place: First of all, couldn't be in a better location. A block away from DBA, the Spotted Cat, and the heart of Frenchman Street. It has a great patio to hang out on and plenty of beds to sleep on. Please note that it’s on a quiet street, so you don’t want to have parties at the place, but who needs that, when the bars stay open all night long.
The Owner: Jonathan couldn’t be nicer or easier to deal with. Anything that came up, he was responsive and prompt. You couldn’t ask for a better host to the city.
We would definitely recommend this place, and would definitely stay here again. 5 Stars! Bravo!"

"I've stayed at a lot of different places in New Orleans over the years and this house was incredibly charming.
First of all, for those who may be confused about the layout of the house, the house is a shotgun house. A shotgun house is a narrow residence, usually no more than 12 feet wide, with rooms arranged one behind the other and doors at each end of the house. This style was incredibly popular in New Orleans and throughout the southern US after the civil war up until the great depression. This means to get to one room, you have to go through the others (so you better like who you are staying with). If you are staying in a group of people and want privacy, this may be an issue. However, if you want to experience a traditional New Orleans house then this is perfect.
The photos don't do it justice. The house has incredibly high ceilings and it actually much bigger on the inside than it appears from the photos. The kitchen is massive and has a ton of appliances, there is a washer-dryer in the house and a cute little patio courtyard in the back.
There are two rooms with double beds but the couch is huge and wide. A friend and I passed out on the couch one night watching TV and were both able to sprawl out comfortably. There is a lot of floor space in the rooms and you could easily put an air mattress down, too.
The house is within walking distance to Frenchmen Street and some great restaurants. The quarter is a little further but still a reasonable walk. If you want to go to Canal Street or to the other side of the quarter though then you may want to call an Uber (if you don't know what that is, it's an app you can download on your smart phone and then request a driver, it's cheaper than a cab) because a cab is a little more pricey.
All in all, our stay was wonderful and we all loved it."

"Due to rainy weather we spent the entire weekend in the house. It was big enough for the 8 of us to be together, split up in smaller groups or find quite time. House has a great layout and is super clean. The pool/patio area is wonderful."

"We stayed at this house for a week for my daughter's wedding. It was amazing! So clean, bright and beautiful! There was so much space for our entire family to enjoy each other and to host lots of family and friends who came in from out of town for the wedding. The location is convenient to downtown and there is everything you could need within walking distance. The beds were so comfortable, the bathrooms sparkling and the kitchen had everything we needed. We all especially loved the front balcony and the back deck. We haven't even gotten the professional pictures yet but the ones we took before the wedding had such amazing backdrops. And the grandparents loved the elevator. I have never felt more comfortable in a rental and cannot wait to come back! Jamie, the house manager, was the best."
