"This house is in the Marigny which is the neighborhood adjacent to the French Quarter. The neighborhood is very eclectic with a remodeled home next to one that needs some attention...and that's what we liked. It's not totally gentrified and therefore, more interesting. Of course, not many places in New Orleans have a row of perfect little redone houses, but that's what is appealing.
This house has been redone and furnished by a couple from Brooklyn and was immediately recognized as such by my daughter from Brooklyn! It's stylishly appointed and easily lived in. This is not a house filled with antiques if that is what you are looking for. It's young.
The beds were very comfortable and the linens were great. I'm kind of a bed snob and hate an uncomfortable bed. There were plenty of towels for all three females who stayed there and even lightweight beach towels provided for the outside spa. When we got in the spa the first night, we found it a little "buggy" and after a text to their property manager, it was attended to the next day, completely to our satisfaction.
The kitchen was well appointed and we cooked in the first night after a trip to Rouses. There was a small assortment of spices at the house. Be sure to bring plastic wrap, foil, zip locks, if you think you will need them. (We forgot) Also, in spite of equipment for your use, there was still ample space in the cabinets to store our things. Even though there is a formal dining room, we ate at the kitchen island every time. There is a small table in the kitchen but we used it as our bar! The owners had dishwasher detergent provided and laundry detergent for the stackable washer/dryer too. The dryer took a long time to dry anything, so plan ahead in case you get caught in a cemetery in a thunderstorm without an umbrella like we did. Ha. It may be totally normal for a stackable dryer...I don't have one so I can't speak to that with any real knowledge.
There was plenty of closet space and chests of drawers in every room, so plenty of storage available.
I loved the unpainted old doors in the house and evidence of the original fireplaces in every room....very well done during the remodel. The shower is a cast iron tub with a fixed shower head and it worked well; something you don't find often in old homes and also a half bath off of the living room.
Loved the back courtyard. Well located home in an up and coming area. Uber was never more than 3 min away! Do it."

"When a place has this many positive reviews, there is little left to add. All in all the place more than lived up to expectations. My wife and I stayed for 3 nights and the location was excellent, close enough to easily walk to Frenchman St (maybe 7 minutes) or Bourbon St (maybe 10 minutes to the main area). Plenty of space, super comfy bed and a beautiful tree for the holidays (thx again Ron/Mark for the ornament as well). The recommendations for restaurants and maps they provided were very helpful as well. Would definitely stay here again when we come back if available."

"This was a great option off the beaten path of bourbon street craziness. we walked miles but you can Uber and it was better than taxi and half the cost. We left coffee for the next person. we arrived 20 minutes before check in but Cindy was very accommodating and had the cleaning staff come right away. Room stayed cool. Fully stocked with dishes and pans, large size studio, comfortable bed, stereo and wifi. There is a convenience store on the next block. port of call restaurant had good food but the wait was more than an hour. Would stay here again!"

"We traveled with another couple and we were a bit concerned that there wouldn't be privacy for each couple but we had nothing to worry about. The set up is great. We cooked breakfast one morning and had everything we needed in the way of pots, pans and dishes. The location is wonderful. We walked out the front of the building and turned right and took off walking and before we knew it we were at Harrah's. We also walked to Bourbon Street one day but our husbands would tell you it was a bit too far for them to walk! We definitely didn't need a car while staying at this great location. We would definitely stay here again."
