"This property is exactly as depicted.
1.) Owner was gracious and very easy to work with. We booked at last minute and then had to push out another day. Sidney was great. We are frequent visitors to NOLA so we did not need him to meet us, but his apartment had maps and local magazines that were helpful.
2.) CLEAN!!! This place was very clean with several high quality towels and bed linens.
3.) Location. This home is about fifty steps off Magazine Street which is filled for miles in each direction with restaurants, eateries, quaint shops, etc. The bus that you can catch on the corner takes you to French Quarter and back from early morning to late at night. Very convenient if you don't have a car. We have always stayed in French Quarter before for several years, but this place will be our new go-to.
4.) Well appointed. Everything you might need is in the apartment-wine glasses, coffee mugs, etc. However, note that you might not find everything you want or need to prepare a large meal, but who comes to NOLA to eat at home anyway?
The only negative (and this really didn't bother us but it might bother others) was that the home is quite old in a beautiful section of the Garden District, and with that patina of age you get an old bathtub. This one was rusted and in need or re-coating. Again, not a big deal to us, but some might find it so.
WE can't wait to come back!"

"2 couples stayed at this great location for a dental convention the same weekend as French Quarterfest. This is the first time we have tried a VRBO listing for New Orleans rather than a hotel. Easy drive to convention area and streetcar access a block away. There is a big Rouse's market as well as a Freshmarket closeby. There are many excellent restaurants closeby without going into the Quarter if you want to miss the typical tourist spots. We enjoyed Superior Seafood Restaurant just across St. Charles, as well as a beignet cafe on the corner without fighting the crowds at Cafe DuMonde. There are many new restaurants in the Uptown Midcity area. The streetcar service is great, running late in and out of the French Quarter. The bungalow was clean, gave us a home type feeling and the parking is certainly a bonus. We will stay here again!"

"My husband and I have rented many vrbo homes in various places, and this was the best yet! Ann made sure everything was perfect when we arrived, even stocking the fridge with milk, creamer, bagels, butter, jelly, soft drinks and bottled water! WOW! The minute you open the gate to the property, you are entering a lush garden that leads to the back courtyard and fishpond. My grandchildren loved feeding the fish every day with the fish food that Ann left on the back porch with instructions on how much to give them. (She never leaves any detail out; amazing!) The porch was so comfortable with six large rockers and the sound of the fountain in the courtyard. The house is amazing, and the barber shop is fantastic! I've also never visited such a clean house! We loved hearing the train go by and really only noticed it the first night. The bar next door does have a band on Friday nights, but that didn't bother us. If you like to go to bed early and are a light sleeper, just bring a sound machine (there's actually one in the master bedroom). Thank you, Ann, for providing such a wonderful place to stay in the heart of Cajun country!! We will be back!"
