  • Bright, Cheery, 1st floor Condo, w/private Patio

"What a perfect location to stay and visit the Cajun country, gardens and Rookeries on Avery Island, pop into New Orleans for a day or 2, plantation homes in Franklin, LSU & enjoy the many fine restaurants in Lafayette. Gordon is a gold mine of information. His recommendations for the Acadian village tour, Swamp tour, restaurants, driving directions were spot on. After a busy day, it was a treat to relax in his warm but eclectic condo. Interesting Art pieces on the walls with sliding glass doors opening from both bedrooms as well as the dining room onto a stockade, fenced in patio. The patio has a gas grill, table, chairs, and Azaleas blooming, and other plants we were not familiar with. The complex is surrounded by beautiful, graceful live Oak trees. An open floor plan for the living room, dining room and kitchen, made everything seem larger, brighter & convenient. Loved the washer and dryer. Gordon is also very kind-When I asked for a mixer to use the next day, he delivered it within 2 hrs. When I forgot some personal items and medication I needed, he called me on my cell to let me know and mailed the items to me at his expense. Would we return, in a flash. Thank you Gordon for a wonderful vacation."

  • Group New Orleans Vacation

"Amazing place to rent with all the amenities (wifi, towels, hair dryer, dishware, etc.). Traveled with six people there was plenty of space for three couples. Rooms had plenty of storage. Overall house was very clean upon arrival (full laundry room in back) House is in walking distance of EVERYTHING (Frenchman Street, French Quarter) and places like Magazine Street or uptown Garden District was a short 10-minute cab ride away or you can take street car. Great restaurants, cafes, and two grocery stores within walking distance. Totally understand why people want to stay outside of French Quarter (too much noise) and this is the perfect spot. Manager was super friendly to work with and made arrival/departure super easy. There were locks/keys for both the front door AND gate to get to the front door which was amazing. Would stay here again!"

  • I can die now - Most fun ever during a downtown stay.

"We took some friends for a long weekend which included a get together with our local New Orleans friends as well. The Penthouse was the absolute perfect place for New Orleans newcomers, veterans and locals. The views are unrivaled. We've stayed in a number of NOLA hotels and nobody has a view like this. The accomodations are Spectacular! The open floor plan is perfect for a party...and then there's the rooftop deck. The outdoor area is sprawling and the sights and sounds breathtaking. The pool was heated, so we could actually go for a swim in January! The atmosphere is totally laid back. There was non stop music from the waterfront below and the Natchez riverboat with it's calliope and sometimes jazz band at your doorstep. For eight adults, the rooming situation is great with plenty of privacy but even more shared space. The place is Really well stocked - the kitchen (s) fully outfitted and lots of amenities in the bathrooms in case you forgot something. The location is ideal, with everything outside your front door. It's an awesome place."

  • Perfect Party Pad!!

"Ten of us from Houston traveled to New Orleans to celebrate a friend's 30th birthday. We were so lucky to have stumbled upon the gem that is The General! There is space for 15 people to sleep comfortably and there are 2.5 bathrooms. We enjoyed hanging out on the elevated patio. It is within walking distance to some cool bars and coffee shops, as well as the streetcar stops. We actually had more fun partying at the house than at bars on Bourbon Street! We will definitely be back!"
