  • Good location/Great experience

"Charming definately describes this house. The house was clean and very well maintained. Our group of 6 really enjoyed the experience of staying in a local neighborhood. It was a short walk to the Quarter and we felt safe even walking back late at night. The neighbors were so friendly and helpful. The owner was prompt with response and was very accomodating. We would certainly consider staying here again."

  • Summer in the City - GREAT location!

"I had the pleasure of staying at this location for six weeks this summer - longer than the owners are used to, but they were very accommodating and helpful. The house is clean & comfortable. The kitchen has a huge refrigerator, plenty of utensils. The bathroom is small, but larger than mine at home. Shower and tub are delightful. The bedrooms are nice sizes. The beds, oh the beds. They are A-MA-ZING!! They are the most comfortable beds I’ve ever had the privilege to sleep in. Just be aware that you might feel the beds shake a bit when the trains and boats are loading or moving over on the Mississippi. Completely caught me off guard the first night!! Oh, and the AC is a blessing in the blistering heat of the summer. I was very thankful for the quick internet as it helped me keep in touch with family. I also had blogging to keep up with during the six weeks. Additionally, there are three televisions equipped with Dish network which was very nice (we only have antennae channels at home!). I had been to New Orleans a couple times before, staying weekends before or after taking cruises out of the city. Both times I stayed in the Garden District. This property is just outside of the Garden District. Even though I drove down from Indiana, I very rarely used my car as the driving and parking are a bit crazy. I had absolutely no problems with having my car parked in front of the house. There are two bus stops rather close – one is a block away, the other about 4 blocks away. I used both quite often and was pleased with how clean the buses were kept. I felt comfortable riding alone. Both bus lines take you to Canal Street and the French Quarter. Hansen’s Snowballs are a few blocks away and they truly are delicious. There may be long lines though. I think the longest I waited was 45 minutes, but when the temps are in the 90’s a snowball really hits the spot. There are three grocery stores within 5 minutes or so (by car). Dozens of restaurants in the area. One of my favorites was Frankie and Johnny’s. The owners are very good at communicating with their renters. They were a phone call or text away and fixed any problem that came up. There was never a time while in NOLA that I felt unsafe or uncomfortable. Neighbors in the area are all very friendly. I was very pleased with this location for my six weeks in New Orleans and would be very likely to rent the same location again. Thanks, Enzo and David!!!!!"

  • Convenient spot to Frenchman's Street

"A group of 6 of us stayed in the Creole Cottage for Halloween weekend. The cottage was very clean and actually more spacious than the pictures show. The owner Don, left bottles of water in the fridge upon our arrival which I think was a nice touch. The property was conveniently walking distance to all the places we wanted to go including Frenchman's Street. There are also several restaurants and bars nearby that you can walk to. The one thing that made me reduce a star however, is that the listing fails to mention that the owner lives in the apartment attached to the cottage. I would have liked to have that information prior to renting. While Don was very nice and accommodating we did have an incidence one night where someone from our party left the downstairs bathroom fan on causing the owner disruption. If you don't mind renting a property where the owner is on the premise I would definitely recommend this property. It was very charming and well kept."
