  • This place is Another of Gods Amazing creations! The views are excellent and breath taking at times!

"My family and I spent a weekend here but we wish it could have been longer. This place is Another of Gods Amazing creations! The views are excellent (inside and out) and breathe taking at times! The house is awesome, very nice, clean, spacious, fully equipped with everything you need and more. There would have been lots to do inside if we would have gotten the rain that was forecast but we spent most of our time outside because it was so beautiful, shaded and it didn't rain. I don't think we even turned on one TV because we weren't inside long enough. Too much fun to be had outside! So many choices for morning and/or evening sitting area's outside. The kids enjoyed every minute of being there as well. We paddled the canoes up and down the river and we also played in the river on tubes. We also roasted marshmallows with the kids out by the fire pit. Of course we also had chocolate bars and gram crackers to go with the marshmallows. I would like to thank the owner for being so gracious because without her this would not have been possible! THANKS AGAIN!!!"

  • Bright, Cheery, 1st floor Condo, w/private Patio

"What a perfect location to stay and visit the Cajun country, gardens and Rookeries on Avery Island, pop into New Orleans for a day or 2, plantation homes in Franklin, LSU & enjoy the many fine restaurants in Lafayette. Gordon is a gold mine of information. His recommendations for the Acadian village tour, Swamp tour, restaurants, driving directions were spot on. After a busy day, it was a treat to relax in his warm but eclectic condo. Interesting Art pieces on the walls with sliding glass doors opening from both bedrooms as well as the dining room onto a stockade, fenced in patio. The patio has a gas grill, table, chairs, and Azaleas blooming, and other plants we were not familiar with. The complex is surrounded by beautiful, graceful live Oak trees. An open floor plan for the living room, dining room and kitchen, made everything seem larger, brighter & convenient. Loved the washer and dryer. Gordon is also very kind-When I asked for a mixer to use the next day, he delivered it within 2 hrs. When I forgot some personal items and medication I needed, he called me on my cell to let me know and mailed the items to me at his expense. Would we return, in a flash. Thank you Gordon for a wonderful vacation."

  • Gem on Bayou Lacomb

"What a wonderful getaway on Bayou Lacomb! Well appointed and comfortable, this getaway was so relaxing and enjoyable. We trailered our boat and launched nearby to enjoy the surrounding waters during our stay. Highly recommended. A definately favorite on my VRBO list!"

  • My friends were estatic

"Have stayed in this very clean and quaint condo for several years at Mardi Gras and the experience is wonderful. Secure area, close proximity to everything important in the Quarter. My 1st timer friends were amazed after being told the complex was built in 1825 and walking into a nicely renovated and decorated apt., not knowing what to expect. Over the days they discovered it provided an ambience not found in hotels to assist in really relaxing after long days/nights on bourbon st and beyond. The well stocked renovated kitchen provides the option of eating in or out, but unless your a chef why eat in :) unless it's early breakfast. Note- On behalf of my friends, they said the comfort of the condo greatly influenced their ability to do all they did over 10 days. (Thanks Linda for an opportunity to have a secure, comfortable visit to the most wonderful city in the world that I've seen.) My guests and I would highly recommend a visit. Might want to book early as the last time outside of Mardi Gras, it was unavailable on a relatively short notice visit. but forget Mardi Gras week, already got dibs. :)"
