"Just got back from Jazz Fest and stayed at this house. As pretty much every other reviewer says, the video and pics simply do not do it justice. Amazing!
Perfect location. From the porch, you can look down to Frenchman street and see the goings on, or you can hop down yourself and join the fun. And yet if you need to sleep the music and partying is one block away, so it's not in your face. No parking, but there is really no need for a car. We walked everywhere.
Favorite thing about the house is the multiple sitting areas. Big kitchen to hang out in. Huge huge amazing porch with lights and fans. Living room. Dining room. Even the hallway has a sitting area. This is great for large groups, as you're not stacked up on top of each other.
Washer dryer and dishwasher are super helpful as well.
Did I mention the porch? Best. Porch. Ever.
Do keep in mind there are only 5 bedrooms. If everyone in your party wants to sleep on a bed I think the beds may fit 10 people. After that, there's a futon that's setup, another real mattress you can lie out, and many many air mattresses for everyone else. So if you're flexible and don't mind too much where you crash, there is plenty of room. We had 14 and had no problems finding a spot for everyone.
Landlord is a great guy. Responsive to any issues and quick to get your deposit back, so long as you behave!
I would rent again without hesitation."

"Casabianca is a beautiful and charming apartment, wonderfully located to shop, eat and catch public transportation to go to all of the major sights in New Orleans. We loved staying there. While Magazine Street is busy and definitely not quiet, simply close the window to the deck and you won't really notice the traffic noise. Head to the bedroom - with a really comfortable bed - and you won't hear any traffic noise at all.
We really enjoyed bringing prepared food in from Big Fisherman, just a short bus ride away - very very good and inexpensive. Other restaurants we enjoyed near the apartment were Charcoals, De Ville Coffee House and Creperie and Juan's Flying Burrito. Farther afield, Cochon was marvelous and the restaurant at the World War II museum was very good as well. We also enjoyed Casamentos (great fried seafood, gluten free) farther down Magazine and the Acme Oyster Bar in the Quarter.
Don't miss the sculpture garden at the Art Museum - very wonderful and a lovely setting. We enjoyed the aquarium and the zoo but our favorite was the World War II museum - we were there over 6 hours and enjoyed every minute.
While we enjoyed all that New Orleans had to offer, we loved having Casabianca to come home to for rest and relaxation. The pictures do not do it justice - as others have said, it really is better than the pictures. We heartily give it a 5 star rating."
